I'm not ready to be a Khan fan just yet...

 

I'm not a major fan, but I like that guy. He earned my props in the Maidana. Knocked him down hard with a hook, survived death in the 10th round and handled the situation with maturity. I give him props big time.

 

yea, pretty obvious. Maidana came within a hair of knocking him out and was zoning in on him with that right hand repeatedly. I mean Maidana was countering Khan.

Khan has a long way to go to reach a level of ATG ability. And if you don't have ATG ability then odds are if you face a couple of skilled punchers, one of them will expose your flaws.

 

I think part of this is related to Roach's way of training. If you look at Kahn, he's a statue up front, with no head movement whatsoever. He uses his feet for defense and he'll have problems any time someone matches his footspeed. Bradley will surely match it, which makes that fight compelling.

If it wasn't for that 10th round I think I woulda held him in higher regard...I personally think the ref did mor harm to Khan than good but that's jus my opinion ofcos

 

Roach has only been training Khan for a few fights. Khan has been boxing since he is a young child. Roach has already improved him in leaps and bounds but you can't completely change a fighter in 2 years, 5 fights.

 

I'm not denying that, but still, I don't think Roach puts much into head movement or upper body movement. Fighters under Roach seem a bit patterned in the way they use their legs and ambush. Though if it works, it works and I'm not gonna argue.

 

not that many fighters can walk through amirs punches like maidana did. khan landed some serious shots on marcos and if that was someone else they would be stunned and lose power. khan is flawed when you measure him up to floyd and manny but lets not forget he has the fastest hands in boxing, very decent power and a lot of heart. thats not a bad mix!

 

khan is clearly a good fighter that has caught the notice of people around the world. he's exciting to watch and if he isn't unbeatable he has a chance against anyone in and around his weight because of his reach and blistering speed.

the fact he has so many haters is a sign of his talent! if he had nothing about him he would be ignored! like mike jones and quillin.

 

Strward better watch was he says or Amir will send his goons into his hotel room and steal his contracts.

 

why do you have to put down other fighters to declare your man love to khan?

 

As soon as Manny's training him he'll change his mind. Steward gets more and more worthless as a trainer every time he speaks.
