if you gave JDS 3 months video game programming training...oppps sorry wrong thread ;-) But it was obvious waht the UFC were doing when they resigned Trigg, Coleman Baroni ect...life long image rights signings, to stop EA getting their image rights Hopefully these guys get a decent cut
They still have no rights for Randy or Fedor though... :verysad Without them two it'll always be a let down. I hope they continue with Pride mode. I barely played anything else against friends... Huge 155lbers against mighty mouse... Good times! Lynchburg
Good move the whole thing had stalled with THQ. EA had the right idea with their game but it looked poor to me. Agree with keeping the Pride mode and Bas they also need to short the online servers out. Quick match takes about an hour to get anyone. Think I read a while back they had tried this before.
I only played it online that was good. The pride mode was a very good addition not much else changed though. Subs are better but that was basically stole from EA's game. Too much waiting time and menus though trying to get a game though.
THQ is the one that is probably going under, which is probably the main reason they quit making UFC games.
Best of the UFC so far IMO, the career is nice but still some flaw...it's been a while since the last time I played so can't remeber exactly what they are...at some point you have to comit to 1 exlusive camp, so there are some move you can't get. Title fight is cool....but if you want to defend the title you need to do a title run with the character... !! At least this time you can do sub...clinch is ok, ground game ok to... ! You can rock people more easily but it's harder to TKO them now too... !!! Pretty much it !
Sad to say, but THQ is probably going down. There last chance is Darksiders 2. If that game does not sell, the company is done. I am guessing that THQ got a cash infusion by selling the UFC franchise to EA to help them stay afloat through the summer. http://www.google.com/finance?q=NASDAQ:THQI&fstype=ii
I haven't head anything about how well those games did, but I know that their Wii drawing tablet and lackluster Homefront sales hurt the company bad.
