I think you could make arguments for any of them. I just feel glad that I was able to watch them fight in my life time because they all made for some great fights. Kinda wish that JMM had fought the other two earlier on, as it would have made for more awesome fights.

    barrera
    morales
    marquez

i would also like to point out that i think marquez to be the most overrated fighter of the last 20 years. other than giving pacshitiao problems each time they fought, he hasn't really done anything to write home about. good fighter but nothing more.

Uh.. apart from the extraordinary skillset, technical brilliance, counter-punching genius and one of the highest boxing IQ's in the sport? 3 division World Champion? Pacquiao, Barrera, Cassamayor, Diaz, Katsidis etc.

Do you understand what the word 'overrated' means? And over the last 20 years?!?! Comical.

If you want overrated, look up Brandon Rios :good.

    Marquez
    Morales
    Barrera

All 3 are legends though and I can see a case for any of them being number 1. Marquez just steals it for me though as I feel he is 2-1 against Pacquiao and I like his run at 135.

People are ranking them by resume but your poll is asking who was the best fighter in their prime. I'm going for Barrera.

I voted for Morales as well, but you pretty much summed it up.

 that's a pretty funny write up you've done there. lets break this down shall we.

    1) great counter puncher, yes. everything else is laughable. the guy can't fight on the front foot very well. he leaves himself wide open to every punch in the book. his boxing IQ is good but not great.

    2) he hasn't got a win in any of the pac fights. barrera was shot, but very nearly knocked him out.

casamayor was another fighter that was well past his best but was ahead on the scorecards with most people. that was an almighty struggle for the so called genius.

diaz was a straight forward fighter that was very easy to hit but marquez could do no more than get beat up for round after round in dominant fashion until a cut suffered by diaz made him panic and got stopped late.

katsidis was another fighter who was very easy to hit and was past his best but was able to give marquez a tough fight. it was also a close fight until marquez brought it to a halt in the 9th round.

he lost to norwood, john, mayweather and pac. oh, and he lost his first pro fight aswell.

to call him a genius and an ATG after doing very little, makes him the most overrated fighter in the past 20 years. he's no ATG. good fighter, nothing more.

you may think that rios is an overrated fighter, but no ones calling him a genius and an ATG are they?

the only thing that's comical is your belief that marquez is a special fighter. he isn't. and he never will be. :good
