This is really a storm in a teacup. It's entertainment, & promoters will opt for the most interesting people. If they are targeting females, they prolly want a "glamour with a hammer" type. ATM Lauren is more like the "skirt with no hurt" but teaching a woman to punch, let alone the rest, would take a lot longer than a bloke I think. I'm not a fan of womens boxing but if she turns out anything like Sharon Anyos, I'll jump on her bandwagon. Wait & see.
Not a great fan of women's boxing myself but... 1/ Eagle's had two fights only - where's the sense in throwing her in with seasoned fighters after 2 fights? Do we throw guys with 2 fights experience and no amateur career in against seasoned, or world class fighters FFS? 2/ A women getting PPV coverage is good for women's boxing - whoever it is that gets it. Yes, it should be Erin, but Eagle's coverage is still a positive for women's boxing. 3/ Twelve months isn't too long to wait to be able to say 'I told you so'. Be patient, and if she acheives nothing by then, bag her all you like.
