I guess the next close Melbourne Cup we don't ask for a photo - we call it a draw!:rofl

Or the next election we let the loser band with sell outs and actually win!

Eagle is rematching Kay Hodgson I hear after the original debuting opponent pulled out at Cronulla this Friday.

Props to Kay for stepping up with two days notice this time - hopefully a win for Kay.

    OMG:scaredas:

I cannot beilieve you are trying to argue this point, when eagle was hit with the first body shot she cringed and turned away for a slight second in pain, but nah she was never hurt in the fight Boxy, she is made of steel!!

What jab are you talking about, eagle only thows 1 -2 and i didnt see any meaningfull shot get through, only pitter patter.

I have watched the fight twice, one live on fox and the other during the day on monday and i still have the same oppinion. Eagle looked flat and unco-ordinated and Forrest looked crisp and was landing the cleaner harder shots.

You admitted it yourself, you watched the fight passed out and now you think you drunken memory of the fight reigns supream over ours who happends to watch the fight straight?

watched the first round again and for sure Forest wins it, hurts eagle and comes on good with a combo, its close up till around the 30 second mark and Forest takes the round. Im not watching anymore because honestly it makes me mad to see a sht fighter like Eagle on TV while we have much much more deserving boxers who should get that air time and exposure. We prop up some so called celebrity water skier and ignore the real talent in this country.

Eagle probably lost the fight (2 rounds to 4).
A draw though is in no way a robbery. Worst decisions occur all the time.
If I were Eagle I would go back to water sking as she has very little boxing ability.
To try a make out that she is anything other that a sideshow is stupid.

How is a National Boxing commission going to FIX UP judging??????
There is no repecussion for useless judging anywhere in the World, so how do you think a National Commission will fix it?

I agree States need to Work together to ensure things like the Green-Briggs fiasco dosnt happen again, But a national Commission wont work when there are so many Ego's involved. Which State would it be run in for a start?
And i agree with you about some officials not giving imports a fair go, But if you went down to the Local WA shows you would see that all fighters from Overseas or eastern States get a fair go here.

So finally had a chance to watch this.

The neutral verdict from the guy living in neutral Switzerland (ignore the FIFA stuff for now):

    1st round 10-9 for Forrest
    2nd round 10-9 for Eagle
    3rd round I had a 10-10 round
    4th round 10-9 for Forrest
    5th round 10-9 for Forrest
6th round 10-9 for Eagle (only just, but could have went to Forrest too....)

    So 58-57 to Forrest.

Altogether a very difficult fight to score though!!! Majority draw was by no means a robbery.

Eagle whilst unimpressive, does appear to show potential. Not the kind that would win a world title by any means but she could slowly work her way up and see where she stands after another 3 or 4 fights. If at that point she hasnt progressed in leaps and bounds then she should probably drift away from boxing. She is afraid of getting hit, and doesnt put her bodyweight behind her punches. And constantly having her mouth open (and yelling "ha" all the time) leaves her susceptible to a good hit on the jaw which could black her out...

Hmmm....like your summary, similar sentiments on Eagles potential.

You scored 10/10....isn't it a must points system, you need to go 10/9?

10 point must meaning 1 fighter AT LEAST must have 10, but 10 can be awarded to both...
