The first one was 'how much for a dander like that?' I think a dander is a walk/posture..it baffled me for every reason!
Never really liked Magee until I went to Magee vs Hatton in Manchester (as a Hatton fan). I was disgusted by the mindless verbals aimed at Magee, as an Irishman, by Hatton "fans". Have Irish ancestry myself and was proud of the fight he put up that night in the face of what really seemed like some awful animosity and always rooted for him sonce. Always knew he was a bit of a **** though! Certainly wouldn't want to cross the man would you? He was just f*cking nasty!!!!
Everything I have heard about Scott Harrison leads me to believe he is a ****. I was at a Celtric Vs Them match where Harrison was parading his belts at half time. Most of the Forces of Darkness section was jeering Harrison (a Celtic man) but so was most of the section I was sat in as well. Obviously word spreads in Glasgow as to the character of the man.
Yep, comes across that way too. When I think of Magee the first person who comes to mind funnily enough is Harrison. Was gonna bring it up earlier in the thread but knew i'd get a keyboard bashing for it. Both certainly seem to be cut from the 'same kind of cloth' :good
I was on the floor that night with a bunch of "non boxing fans" - they were sickened by the Hatton fans that night. I've never really followed Hatton in the same way since either. Mindless morons.
I sat next to Magee once at a boxing 'do' in Cardiff. He had not long had his leg smashed in a baseball attack and was limping badly, overweight, smoking like a trooper and prickly. I just got pissed and had the craic with Mark Hobson and Dale Robinson. However, I heard later that Magee had jumped in to stop an altercation between Colin Dunne and Frank Warren (allegedly) on the same night.
