Interesting interview with Graham Earl. http://www.boxingfutures.com/feature/0706-earl-bbbofc-stopped-me-fighting-katsidis
It's a bit worrying just how deluded Graham Earl is, to be honest. He seems to be hinging this whole rematch nonsense on the fact that he managed to drop Katsidis in a fight that he basically got absolutely destroyed in. He was past his best before Katsidis, and was totally ruined afterwards. He has virtually 0% of winning a rematch, and would be lucky to even survive one round. Does Earl still sound a bit punch drunk? In some interviews he seems better than others...
tbh, he's right. They had no legit reason to say no. But it's fair. Earl hasn't a cat in hells chance.
Earl should never even got into the ring with Khan, to be honest. I remember watching the press conference and thinking he he was still stunned from the Katsidis beating. When he came into the ring to fight Khan, he still wasn't all there. He seemed to have a vacant, glazed look to his eyes, and if the ref had taken a good look at him he would have stopped it before the first bell. The BBBofC were being polite when they said the fight wouldn't be good for boxing...
The Terry Dunstan case is irrelevant. The board rejected Graham being licensed to go and get knocked out in Australia, that's all there is to say on this case.
Perhaps they should have stopped him fighting, but they did the right thing with Earl, so that's a good thing.
