I remember sitting down with a bunch of friends in the early 80’s to watch my first Tyson pay per view and then leaving 30 seconds later after he KO’d the guy.

Going over to my grandparents house and watching Ali defend his title on prime time TV against the brave but hopelessly outclassed Richard Dunn in 1976. I was eight.

Mine was the Benn - McClellan fight (1995).. I was 6 years old and my dad had the fight on TV and was jumping and screaming with joy when Benn scored the first KD, then went crazy when Benn won.

Benn used to live and train not too far from where I'm from so he was a local hero...

I remember my dad's reaction more than the fight funnily enough. I've seen the a few times since but that's my earliest memory - as well as my fondest :)

Tyson for sure, Spinks I believe. I'll never forget that entire look of fear Spinks had over him him, face, eyes, and body even trembling. I was thinking to myself, "why's this m'fuka scared straight like that??"...then I found out as Tyson proceeded to knock him around the ring for a short night.

After playing this game, and being incredibly terrified of piston honda, my dad started showing me Tyson fights. I was hooked. I was a huge WWF fan as a kid, but even at a really young age my dad told me "its all fake". But when I saw boxing, it was "All real" and these guys were real BAAAAAAD DUDES. It was the coolest thing to me. I loved the stare downs, the action, the crowd. It all just clicked.

You guys are all babies LOL

I remember as a very young kid meeting Randy Turpin at my friends Dad's pub. He was a boxing nut had fighters pics all over.
I talked to Randy & he was great. The local paper reporter came to interview him. He had me on his knee while he talked to them. I remember him saying " You know me I'm Randy Turpin once World Middleweight champion this is my friend CJ the future champion". I felt 10 ft tall Sadly his prediction about me never came true lol but I have been a boxing nut ever since Spent 35 yrs in & around the sport loved every minute

Listening to Ray Leonard fights on the radio. It was amazing , being in the UK we would then see a beautiful sunrise on a sunday morning.

Very special days that feel a million years away.

Only started watching Boxing in 2008.

However, I remember going to my uncle's house when I was younger and everyone crowding around a little television for a big PPV fight. I didn't care for Boxing at the time and just spent most of the time running in the yard.

When the fight was over there was a large commotion. "The punch didn't even hurt", "The fight is fixed"

No doubt the fight was DLH-Hopkins
