I think its fair to say a prime , fit and healthy BJ Penn would probably beat every other LW in the worrld today barring Franky , or give them a hell of a run for there money

Prime Shogun would give Jon Jones a hand full

Fedor in his prime would probably be all dos Santos could handle too

I believe Jones would beat any version of Shogun, no matter how competitive Shogun would make the fight. He's just all wrong for him.

I can see Anderson and Vitor kodding him, but I think he'd be top 10. Maia would give him fits, but he'd do well other wise. He was the prototype MMA grappler imo

Both thoses guys were talented guys but careers could have been better if it wasn't for injury for Bas and Frank not interested enough. Thoses were the gloomy days the mma and sticking it out wasn't worth it for Frank. Too bad either guy could have become what Chuck and Tito did.

    This.

However the current crop of champions looks near unbeatable today, let alone putting them against the fighters of yesterday.

Up until about two years ago I'd have given young Vitor Belfort a better than even chance in some of the heavier divisions, can you imagine a 19 year old, 220lb Belfort doing to Lesnar what he did to Ferrozzo, Telligman and Wanderlei?

Don Frye under old UFC rules would headbutt and 'tache whip his way to the win.
