Early 90s Tyson would wreck Liston in a slug fest

Yes I think Liston would beat a 2003-2005 Tyson, just not the 1991 Tyson.

I don't think Patterson can rightfully be compared to Tyson in terms of punch resistance and physicality. To me, it's like saying that since LaMotta floored Robinson, he should be able to do similar to Ali since Robinson and Ali were similar in terms of style.

I was contrasting her appearance from that of the White House press secretary

Cool. I'm fairly confident Liston beats any version of Tyson with relative ease.

Sonny Liston learned how to fight in the streets of St. Louis, he also used to collect for the underworld figures that employed him. He also used to fight in the corrections yards, to control his piece of the action. That was the edge that he needed in the ring like many others like Duran and Monzon needed.

Tyson beat modern sized heavies while Liston beat mostly cruiser sized heavies. Tyson would have almost effortlessly decimated prime Liston's opposition while Liston may have beaten prime Tyson's opposition, but it most likely wouldn't be clear sailing.

I don't see anything on Liston's record that indicates he could quickly and easily stop a 218 pound ATG with a solid chin and ATG punching power. Who was faster than him to boot. I could buy that he may do it late and with much effort.

I don't think the average inmate was anywhere close to the equivalent of 1991 Tyson.

Not even one called Charles Sonny Liston, who once tossed a police officer upside down in an alley in 1957.

I think Tyson could have done something similar. Unless the officer in question was named Evander Holyfield. Then things would get interesting.

I said relatively easily meaning despite being on a somewhat comparable level, Liston wouldn't struggle nearly as much as people may think by looking at said respective levels because of the styles matchup. It doesn't mean Liston dominates Tyson or beats him with ease. I don't think anybody does.

I think if a fighter has a very malicious personality not just in the ring but in their own personal life, Mike had Cus D Amato to teach him, Sonny had a very abusive father from what i understand, there was no Cus for him, only Frankie Carbo and several underworld figures, who used him also.

I can't see leotis Martin knocking any version of Tyson out neither to be honest.
Tyson took a lot of damage before he got stopped, he never got knocked out cold neither, even against douglas he got up. To me Tyson had slightly better chin than Liston

2000s Tyson would be stopped by any decent fighter.
