Tyson couldn't blast out fighters like Jesse Ferguson, journeymen with decent skills.

To suggest he just wipes the floor with a fighter like Liston is a joke IMO.

I remember seeing a photo of Sonny who was hired to break up a strike, walking through a group of strikers carrying ax handles . The looks of terror on their faces said it all. Tyson would mentally fold up like a card table in front of Sonny.

I remember the Lewis fight, Emanuel Steward was screaming and cursing Lewis for not taking Tyson out earlier. He was saying he's quit and he's ready to go ,do it, by the 4th or 5th round
P.S. Sonny ain't Razor Ruddock, Razor threw 3 jabs in his fights with Tyson, Sonny has the hardest jab in heavyweight history as Angelo Dundee said,,he knocks teeth out with his jab.

I doubt that Liston's JAB was harder than Ruddock's smash.

oh never said it was, but Razor actually threw lead right uppercuts at Tyson from the outside! he had no jab whatsoever and Tyson never really paid anything to get inside. Sonny would make him pay

Martin was NOT a tomato can. He was a rated contender who held very respectable wins over men like Mildenberger, Banks, Spencer, and Russell. Williams and McBride WERE tomato cans, and I don't see them beating any version of Liston including the one who got brutally knocked out by Martin.
In any event you said, Martin would've been to small. In your own words Martin "was too light and too small" and stated nobody that size would've beaten Tyson in the 2000s. Louis and Dempsey were both smaller than Martin regardless if they were all time greats.

That's Tyson's problem. He's facing someone who's better than him on the outside, so he has to try to get inside. Only problem is Liston is better on the inside as well!

No,martin was not any better than Danny Williams, he was a tomato can,an average boxer in the bunch, with the difference that Williams was a big strong guy, leotis was not even a hw.
Martin was not bigger than Dempsey or Louis noway.
Louis was a natural hw, he fought lean, skin and bone but he was a natural big guy.
My point is that s small all time great hw could beat a shot version of Tyson yes, but not a small AND MEDIOCRE boxer like Leotis Martin.

Martin was so much better than Williams. Like it's not even comparable. As I've stated before Martin beat Spencer, Daniels, Mildenberger, Russell, Banks, as well as others. Where are Williams' comparable performances? A win over a shot and completely faded Tyson who still almost knocked him out? Losing every round against Vitali?
Martin was 199 for Liston. Dempsey fought in the lower 190s sometimes 180s, whistle Louis was 198 for Baer which is typically said to be Louis's peak performance. He was also under 199 pounds against Schmeling II and against Braddock when he won the title so yes technically he was smaller than Martin.
I disagree. I also wouldn't call Martin "mediocre". Just an inconsistent fighter with an unfortunate string of bad luck.

I pick Liston because he is Better at long and mid range and that is where liston would keep it with his hard jab and 84 inch reach every time Tyson tries to close the distance, Liston jabs that face and then lets go of shots at long range, jab, rights lefts uppercuts and Tyson can not get in whilst he is being hit with thunderous punches, it is forcing him back and offsetting him and it wears him down and he gets KO’d around the 6th

People can debate the technical aspect of this all day long but it's irrelevant. Coming face to face with Liston, Tyson would shrivel like a cold pair of testicles. He was intimidated by Holyfield in the rematch & look how that turned out, except he wouldn't have the stones to try & bite Liston.

Agreed. I think Frank Lorietzo put it best "All it would take would be a few of those telephone pole jabs to take all the starch out of Tyson mentally. I also doubt he'd have the nerve to pull any ear-biting, arm-breaking crap with Liston. Once Tyson gets second thoughts about coming in with impunity and starts to think his way through the fight, he's in trouble. The moment Liston senses that Tyson has some reservations, he'd pick up the pace and apply even more mental and physical pressure."

Liston would be going face first into the blazing fast fists of a 218 pound ATG puncher. I wish this fight could actually happen. I'd make a whole lot money
