Yeah, I like Shavers but a prime Holyfield, even a past prime Holyfield, would have fvcked him up... even on his best day!

tyson vs shavers prime 4 prime/???????? tyson knocks shavers out.....no doubt shavers hit harder but tysons technique was way better/ and tyson was much harder to hit......................... but if u ask me who wins a 37 yr old tyson vs 37 yr old shavers.....earnie shavers beats mike tyson.......a 37 yr old earnie shavers would never loose to kevin mcbride....when shavers fought tillis he was 37....even that version of shavers would beat mcbride

Beyond-Shot-to-****, Toxic Waste Tyson, was just a couple of weeks off age 39 against McBride, not 37. He literally wasn't even 1% of his best, his fat bullet-ridden rotten corpse had no stamina, no power, no speed. None. Newly-hired trainer Fenech for some stupid reason had taught Zombie Tyson to use arm-punches, & they clearly had no snap in them whatsoever. McBride, who was very excessively doing illegal holding & leaning with his gross 271lb weight, should've been deducted a point for this, & he also should've been penalised a point for pushing Mouldy Mike to the canvas against the ropes. Extremely sad fight to watch. Still, i had the Tyson who had more holes in him than an Emmental, ahead 4-2 in rounds. The final 2 rounds were very dirty & rough from both of them, & i believe Fenech was so worried that Shadow of a Shell Tyson was about to bite ears in the 7th, after seeing the dangerously dirty 6th, he threw in the towel. Strangely, the loss is recorded as a "TKO", is this because Fenech quit, rather than Tyson? I wonder why it wasn't a "RTD" instead.

I love this post,Hook :good Lyle was a solid puncher, but I would n't put him in the same category as the 1970's Big George and Earnie the 'Acorn'

For years I've read here many posters saying Lyle was not a big hitter and listened to their attempts at logic, flawed as it was ... that being said here's more proof at what a huge puncher Lyle was ... no doubt those three were all in the all time highest tier when it came to power ...

but some of the stuff he came out with, was a load of absolute horse shite

i have never ever come across Cus Damato mentioned Shavers and telling Tyson to avoid him

Guess what Earnie? Tyson Kod Holmes in 4, something you couldnt do in 15!

Howard Smith, Roy Williams, Ken Norton, Jimmy Young, Joe Bugner, Jimmy Ellis, Henry Clark, Vincente Rondon, Jeff Sims are probably the NINE men he beat who were as good as Holyfield.
He's exaggerating a bit when he says 10 ! :hey

Yep Tyson would have avoided Shavers, even though he fought murderous punching Ruddock twice.

Shavers was tailor made for him. It will take more than just a punch to KO Tyson.

The above named, couldnt carry Holyfields jockstrap, or Tysons for that matter (Ok maybe Young and Norton)

Shavers = Tua of the 70s

Prime vs. Prime I think Tua fvcks him up as well. Tua's chin is awesome. He has a good workrate and good stamina. He has awesome power in both hands... and for the entire fight. The more aggressive Shavers gets... the worse the beating would be. I don't see Shavers pulling a Chris Byrd and he's not durable enough to pull it off in the way that Ibeabuchi did. Shavers was no Lennox Lewis, that's for sure.

Tua stopped John Ruiz, Darroll Wilson, David Izon, Oleg Maskaev, Hasim Rahman, Obed Sullivan, Robert Daniels, Fres Oquendo, Michael Moorer, and Shane Cameron among others.

Shavers stopped Young, Ellis, Norton, and Bugner.

He rocked Ali but was clearly outboxed in 1977. He was clearly outboxed by Holmes in 1978. He was stopped by Holmes in 11 rounds in 1979 but had Holmes down in the 7th round.
