And Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Jack Dempsey, Max Baer, Lennox Lewis and numerous other GREAT heavyweight punchers could not match Ron Lyle? Really? Are we to take this with any credibility?

This isn't an interview, it's sycophantic fan worship and verbal fellatio. And Shavers, despite his well-earned reputation as a nice guy, comes off as an arrogant delusional jackass here. He does say one thing I agree with though: the benefits of functional exercises like wood chopping and hauling hay. I've done both, and they're back-aching shoulder-burning exercises that require phenomenal endurance and tendon strength. But Shavers must have also forgot that Vitali does just that, as do a lot of the more old school EE guys like Maskaev and Virchis, two guys renowned for big punching power. Of the notion that Tyson ducked Shavers I can only laugh.

This. If Shavers believes what he's saying, he's totally deluded. There's a difference between reasonable self-confidence and being deluded. He'd be totally deluded. The interviewer is just making grandpa feel good about himself.

Shavers consistently rates himself as not only a great puncher but a great fighter as well. He's really quite full of himself.
