Louis destroys Shavers in 2/3. Any version who held the title would. He'd know he'd have to.

 

If a joke porky like Tony galento had Louis down badly then i can't see why shavers could not finish him.

 

Because you're assuming that Shavers is technically better than Galento. Both were awful, Shavers just had that ****** power. Hence why Louis would know he has to get rid of him.

Boxing had significantly improved from the 30s to the 70s. It really could be a knock out either way. Louis was put down loads of times in his career. If Shavers puts him down it may keep him down

Shavers would have had a chance against past prime Louis that fought Walcott. Prime Louis would destroy him though
