Shavers finds his chin, Williams was too upright, Shavers throws a few jabs to the body and rights to the body, then after a while, takes a body jab and comes over the top with a right hand.
If Williams didn’t have the bad habit of dropping his left by his side after throwing a jab he’d whip Earnie. But he always did and with his fragile chin and Earnie’s huge two fisted power he gets KO’d 9/10 times. Terrible match up for the Truth.
William's weakness was the left hook not the right hand so I think he could outbox Shavers for quite a significant time. But I just don't see Williams being able to fight the perfect fight for 12 round or 15 rounds without getting clocked at some point. I think Williams does better than some people in this thread are suggesting but I do think he does get stopped at some point in the fight regardless.
