No way does Shavers last that long, Frazier kept getting up. I dont see Shavers getting up that many times.

Foreman destroys him even if there's a very very slim chance that he gets floored he would still kick Shavers ass

Shavers wasn't a straight up fighter and would often duck low, Shavers was shorter than George and a little taller than Frazier but with a much worse chin, prime for a Foreman uppercut and the way Shavers kept his hands right infront of his face would just end up with Foreman putting a left hook right there after the uppercut like he did Frazier.

And Shavers was koed by guys much MUCH worse than Foreman who had hardly any punching power, if he couldn't get weak punching short guys out how is he supposed to get big Geroge with all that power out....

Foreman has bone-shattering power (Foreman is almost as powerful as Shavers), a telephone pole-like jab and a great chin. Earnie would simply be overwhelmed. Big George wins via an early-round KO.

Styles though. Shavers had more power to keep Foreman at bay and maybe get his attention a bit. But In round 2 or 3 I say Shavers is ****ed. But it might even be in round 1.

I agree 100%. Shavers lasts as long as Foreman keeps holding it back. If he can land a right hand or two, or a big left hook, George will wait to wade in. When he does wade in, though, it's over, and that round. He'd walk through Shavers as badly as he did Norton.

Shavers has that great overhand right, but George is just more powerful in general.

Bottom line? NOBODY knocks George out. And don't bring up Zaire. After his ''African brain-fry" he wasn't the same. Lyle clocked him but he wasn't going anywhere.
I still have to say that, although Ali is one of my favorite fighters of all time and, I think, the greatest HW of all time, much of my opinion is predicated on what he would have done from 67-70. In retrospect, Ali's second career was a carnival joke, despite his HOF great talent, and I don't think I need to go into details.

Because were talking about a prime George he would just walk in throwing powershots Earnie needed time to get distance and throw his big punch, he couldn't unload when he was in defensive mode against George's onslaught, and even then Earnie couldn't throw a hard uppercut he used it most effective against Jimmy Ellis and Joe Bugner and he had to grab them and have leverage and we know that Jimmy Ellis and Joe Bugner aren't a prime George.
