Which would prevail, Earnie's power, or Dokes' handspeed and toughness?

The only way Shavers takes this one is if he nails Dokes early and gets him outta there before Michael can ignite his dynamite. If this goes past the 4th round, Earnie is pretty much **** out of luck.

Dokes better not indulge in his own cooking and come in fat like he often did.

I like Dokes. Earnie has one thing going for him in this match. Dokes has a foil for that -a good chin. Dokes also has skill, hand-speed, shorter shots, and is simply better.

Dokes by deep water drowning after withstanding shaky moments early.

Didn't Razor Ruddock once place a "smash hook" on
Dokes' chin with extremely negative results for ol' Michael???

    Shavers annihilates Dokes early.

Yeah, but that was a left hook, something that Earnie never had. Plus it came when Dokes was more or less past his prime.

Didn't Shavers blow out Norton with a left hook...but again as
you pointed out....Kenny wass an "old man victim".

Firstly, Dokes's last stand was in 1989 against Holyfield. Make no mistake about that. After that it was about money. When he fought Ruddock he was 15 pounds heavier than when he fought Evander and even 220 was heavy compared to his prime.

Secondly, the shot that Dokes ate would have knocked out Godzilla, Mecha-Godzilla, Ghidrah, King Kong, and Rocky Marciano.

On a faded worn out old Dokes, yes.
rudduck also had a much better chin than Earnie and was possibly a slightly better fighter, hard to say.
