max baer-- no punch light heavy tommy loughran made a fool of him...just kept sticking his left jab in baer's face and moving.....braddock-- no fancy dan, but he fought a very basic fight..left jab--left jab and from time to time throw a right hand.

one reason boxers did so well against maxie is if they could take him into the middle rounds, all they had to do was just box because max hardly ever trained and he got winded and then just went through the motions

It was said that a speedy, clever boxer with a busy jab could beat Dick Tiger. One clever sports writer in the 60's said that "a good trombone player could beat Tiger".

Earnie Shavers had trouble with boxers.

    When he'd connect, however...

Sam Peter's not a boxer anymore- he's a walking breating over-inflated punching bag.

Foreman wasn't particularly difficult to outbox either.

Tommy Morrison prepped to outbox him, watched the Young fight with his trainers... And pulled it off.

Right until you realize Foreman was 44 fat and out of shape and then you realize you don't know what you are talking so let me move on.

Any person with a half way decent jab and some height could out box Tua. Rahman isn't fast, strong or anything else but he looked like Ali against Tua.

    Foreman wasn't easy to outbox.

Muhammad took a portion of the punishment that damaged him pulling it off.

Jimmy Young nearly got stopped twice en route to pulling it off.

Holyfield was given hell, and took what he, to this day, says are the hardest punches he's ever eaten pulling it off.

Tommy Morrison had a great jab and underrated skills, and boxed an uncharacteristically cautious fight. I'll give him credit, he did the best job of it in Foreman's career, but looking at ALL the others, its an aberration.

How many guys tried to outbox Foreman and failed? Shannon Briggs did it on paper, but we all know he, in fact, lost a wide decision. We can replace that L with the Schultz fight, even if many do think that decision was in fact just(That it is a widely known robbery is a myth).

If only 4-5 guys managed it in an 80 fight career, and only one guy of those five managed to do it without some savage punishment, he was not an easy mark to outbox.

Roberto Duran. For a guy who people see as so great he lost easy easy easy to the legendary guys he fought like Wilfredo Benitez, Thomas Hearns,Sugar Ray and Marvelous. Ray and Wilfredo beat him easy and Tommy outclassed him. And still people think he is one of the greatest ever!!!!!
