Alright, so I got a tourney (my first - only had individual club fights so far) starting thursday. I wake up around 170-171 and fighting at 165. So yeah, 6 pounds in 5 days. Im thinking drink lots of water in the next 2 days, then moderate water on tuesday and just a little bit on the day before the weigh-in.. And a quick sauna session? What would be your advices? Im far from cut, so losing water is no issue. The internet gives every choice, from gentle laxitive to cutting out carbs to overstimulation your bladder by drinking lots etc. Thanks
Stop eating that dhalkhoor ****tani food...eat protein, lots and lots of it. That and lots and lots of green vegetables, a salad with lettuce/spinach leaves perferably, but not necessarily uncooked maybe a table spoon or two of olive oil, salt, pepper, lemon. Only load up slightly for carbs before runs.
Choke yer chicken, spit 18 times, cut yer hair, shave, poop, pee, blow your nose, wax your bikini line, floss, watch a sad movie (until you cry), clean your belly button lint, fart, shave your eyebrows...and dance, dance, dance....
Some terrible advice here, eating fibrous foods will make you heavier as the undigested fibre stays in your stomach. Often athletes switch to a low fibre diet before competition to lose some extra weight.
I signed up for a white collar boxing match on 2.5 weeks notice and 5.5 kg over my usual fighting weight. I've managed to lose about 2.5 kg so far with training, counting calories, and drinking lots of water. I now have 6 days to lose 3 more kg. Is there anything else I can do to help at this point besides keeping the same routine and reducing water intake and hitting the sauna two days or one day before weigh-ins?
