Lol well Ali isn't the greatest fight of all time either. You don't lose to the same fighter 3 times like Ali did against Norton. I know what you are going to type. But Ali was old. Yeah being in your late 20s to early 30s is old. There is no one greatest fighter because no one fighter can beat all styles.

Also Tyson struggled like hell against James Tillis in a fight a lot of people think he lost. Tyson struggled against Tony Tucker who had a broke hand. People who know boxing realize Tyson always had a problem with guys with good jabs. Douglas beating Tyson was shocking only because Douglas usually didn't come into fights in top shape and didn't seem to care much about boxing.

This doesn't even come close to the Tyson-Douglas fight, that was and will remain the biggest upset in the history of boxing for generations to come...

Ali-Foreman was 3-1 odds lol. Not even close to being bigger.

This was about on par with Lewis-Rahman, and behind Tyson-Douglas.

The odds were massively against Ruiz, but the reaction is even bigger among people because of the stereotype that a shorter fat pale guy shouldn't be able to beat someone who looks like they were carved from marble. The other guys at least looked like "real" fighters

Lightning fast hands, like a “Fatty” Pacquiao

    Good nicknames for Ruiz
    “Greased-Lightning” “Mad-Manteca”

Tyson / Douglas was a lot bigger at least in the U.S. Tyson was an household name, the most fearsome and dangerous man alive. We would tell kids to come back before dawn, or Tyson would get them. It's above Lewis / Rahman to me, Lewis was often aloof in the ring and Rahman did not have the physical disavantages Ruiz had and at that time a much lower fanbase. Braddock / Baer is stories my grandpa used to tell. So its folklore by now. I would add to that list Tuney / Dempsey.

Klitschko / Sanders feels to closest to me in modern boxing, but if i remember well Klit was not as established a fighter when it happened.

So i would classify this the second biggest upset of the last 40 years.

How is it ? Joshua is nowhere near an elite hw operator. It’s a shock yes but that’s about it . To label Joshua on a par with the likes of Lewis and Tyson is criminal .

You realize Wlad came in the best shape of his life against Joshua as well ,right ? lol

What hype are you on about? Totally ridiculous thread even though you're correct its a huge upset way more then Douglas vs Tyson which means it cant be hype otherwise it cant be the biggest upset ever,,,,, SMH
