So basically Europe as a whole then, seeing as the uk is in the west albeit not continental.:patsch

Or to be even more accurate with your thread... the US has no decent heavyweight prospects, so why don't I have a wee sly dig in a round about way, to **** people off.....or why don't I state the obvious just incase nobody knows anything about boxing...

The heavyweights are simply no fun to watch anymore, by and large. I can't stomach watching the methodical Euro-giants, the Americans are generally short, fat, and terrible, Haye is sometimes exciting, but completely untested....there's simply no depth. Who knows how good the Klits are, because the rest of their competition is completely underwhelming. The division has no depth whatsoever.

The only people who actually care about the heavyweight division care because of national pride, not because they are getting Ali-Frazier, or even Tyson-Berbeck quality fights. The hilarious thing is that the Klits have it well within their power to bring a ton of interest back to the heavyweight division, at least in the short term, by fighting each other, but that won't ever happen.

The great irony, of course, is that those same people who claim that the Klits are incredible base this on their beatings of fat terrible americans that they then make posts lambasting as being fat and terrible and american.

TLDR: Heavyweights suck, call me when the division is something worth watching, be that something British, or Ukranian, or what have you.

Its been along time since America has had a dominant heavyweight, Bowe wouldnt face Lewis, Tyson didnt seem to want to either and wasnt the same fighter when he finally did and Holyfield got beat by Lewis, also I read that Holyfield may have been involved in using PEDs but dont know if it was ever proven.
Hopefully Haye will give some excitement to the division that people from all countries will appreciate. I think a big part to the lack of interest of the division is due to lack of advertising and the language barrier.

Vitali is mentally ten times tougher than Tyson and both Klits are far more professional than Bowe and much better athletes than Holyfield. The guys in the 90's were good, no need to overly glorify them. Holyfield lost to Moorer, who would be cannon fodder for either Klitschko.

We are talking about european fighters, so:
Lennox Lewis, W. Klitschko, V. Klitschko, Andrew Golota, Sultan Ibragimov, Oleg MAskaev, Ruslan Chagaev, Nikolai Valuev, David Haye. Despite Golota they all were champions in last decade. I mentioned Golota, because he should have been 2-time chamion (Ruiz and Byrd fihgts)

non-european: Chris Byrd, John Ruiz, Lamon Brewster, Samuel Peter

I think thats enough to talk about domination

wlad crumbles when he gets hit with a big shot, tyson got hit with a monster uppercut from tucker and went on to win the fight in dominating fashion regardless. and ivtali has shown intimidation against an ex golfer when he rocked his world. so no, neither one of them have immortal mental toughness, thats a perpetuated klitschko nut-hugging myth. and about moorer? right, and how many hard-hitting, fast southpaws have the klits beaten? lol, i guess sanders, purrity and brewster beat moorer to them. stop over-glorifying the klits, there nowhere near a good as you nuthuggers make them out to be.

ill give you lennox lewis and thats just about it. both klitschkos have been beaten in that ten year span, oleg maskaev?? are you being serious right now? this guy has been on the receiving end of brutal highlight reel KO's more than any fighter next to barrett. valuev is a protected novelty side-show attraction, a shop-worn tyson abused golota, and iggy is nothing more than a journeyman. i fail to see any domination coming from the euros when all of them have been beaten.

Sexton is actually in one org's top 10:scaredas:.

Brits won't dominate, but Haye is the real deal. Having him and Lewis in the same 15-20 year period is excellent for us and I'll certainly be happy with that.

And whoever said it, yes, Lewis is the greatest British boxer by absolute miles - certainly the greatest boxer that any of us have actually seen fight on more than a handful of occasions.

At least haye (hopefully) should inject a bit of excitment to the division, its crazy that the only person to really test V klitschko was lewis, like the brothers or not they both have had some cracking wins over the years, its not their fault that for the most part nobody has been up for the challenge, i agree they can be a bit boring but if they werent there it would be a lot worse!!

Hopefully chambers can shake wlad up a bit

Do not underestimate American heavyweights. Once Kingpin has an offense he will be unified champ.

I would trade both Klits and five other random eastern Europeans for one Lennox Lewis. He twice as exciting as those guys, and sadly even he was considered boring in his time. What Valuev is to the heavyweight division, a meaningless sideshow attraction, the rest of the heavyweight division is to boxing in general.

It's sad when the most exiting thing to come out of the the reign of the brothers K is that Vladimir is banging that little strumpet from Heroes.
