Not as many on this board with any boxing experience as I thought there would be? I thought for sure it would be at least 50/50.

Oh... many different things:lol: Some legit and smart, and some not so:nono
I'm not gonna paint everyone's picture as I saw it, but I'm sure that anyone who's been in that "environment" can think of at least some BS they saw and 'semi-aware" of:good

Can I join in? I dont post here too much, just reading and lurking around.

    Age: 27

    Profession: seafoods exports business

How you got into boxing... and when:

1988 Olympics, when I followed the boxer Leopoldo Serrantes, carrying on his shoulders my country's hopes for its 1st gold medal. He won the bronze. The Philippines is still without a gold medal to this day.

Boxing experience: tried punching on a heavy bag for a while, no real training, just fooling around.

PROFESSION: Danced professionally (Breakin', poppin' and lockin', hip hop, etc.) for about 10 years until a car accident dashed all that a few years back...now I am a store sales manager....(in retail...was always my part time gig before the injuries from the accident...started to take it seriously when I found out it may be my career now).

HOW I GOT INTO BOXING: My dad boxed as an amateur and in the service. Got me into it when I was very, very young...growing up, basically every fight we could watch (plus all the videos in his extensive library...he is a HUGE, HUGE fan), we did...my obsession with the sport grew from there... Also he taught me how to box basically around the time he taught me to walk.

BOXING EXPERIENCE: None formally. Did take a numer of martial arts (Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Judo and Capoeira) from when I was 7 to 25, competed alot in that. But been in WAAAAAY to many street/bar fights....if those count...:hey

Awesome, I have never danced professionally per say, but I have competed (breaking mostly, not much popping)

    Age: 26

Profession: Production Supervisor/Planner/Pattern Design for a Tool/Die shop.

How I got into boxing: Not quite sure to be honest, just have always been a fan. I guess it would be watching Joey Gamache back in the day. (I'm from Lewiston, ME)

    Experience: Limited

Saw Ali-Frazier I, and remember that I was sooo disappointed because my dad had told me that Ali was unbeatable.

No boxing career. Lift weights and train/spar boxing/kickboxing at a private run-down gym that I own together with some friends. Likes boxing, but are no addict.

    3. Grew up watching boxing. Once I was old enough to actually understand, I knew it was the greatest sport out there. I grew up in the Roy Jones era, with DLH, Tito, and all those guys. I was still too young to appreciate tyson althought I have seen most of his fights.
    4. I just box for recreation and to stay in shape.
