Hello everyone. So im looking for some opinions/advice here. Iv'e looked at some calorie counters etc. one specifically that acts as a calorie counter. it states that for example if i want to loose 2 lbs a week i have to eat 1750 calories or less a day... now the problem i cant seem to find a way that i can eat 1750 calories and not be starving, moody or unable to concentrate i try to stick to 3 meals a day breakfast, lunch, supper but i find i need to eat more then that to be able to function at work and have energy. any tips/advice/opinions are appreciated. i train 3-4 times a week but i cant seem to loose any weight im 5'11 210lbs and 21% bmi so i should be able to loose more easily.
I just posted about something that has helped me and I have been doing it for over a year. It is called intermittent fasting. I would recommend buying a book on it and reading it thoroughly because you probably won't believe in it before you read the rational/research surrounding it. What you are describing with the moodiness are actual withdrawal symptoms due to how we as a culture eat and our attitudes are on food in general. Anyways, the book I like is Eat Stop Eat by Brad Pilon. I'm sure others have written books as well. His book is just very simple to understand and the lifestyle change is easy to implement. Good luck.
its a little more difficult to box when you have a full time job. anyways thanks for the actual intelligent input from captain hook and tvlpc i will have a look at this book
Really? What do you do? I still found time to train and eat properly when I was working 60 hours a week. The "I don't have time" is a poor excuse. If you really wanted to lose weight and box you'd find a way to make it work.
Keep it simple bro, just eat lean meat, a lot of veg, and drink water, and train hard It really is that simple Some people dont know ****. If you start counting calories, you are destined to fail, you cant do that **** forever. Dont think diet, think lifestyle. TRAIN HARD, intense, take yourself out of your comfort zone thats important. This will up your motabolism (burn more calories all the time), regulate your hormones (increase testosteronen and HGH which burns fat), and also reduces fat storing hormones. The moody and not concentrating is because your eating low calories which is having all the wrong effects on your hormones Althetes do not go on 'diets'. They have all of the above^ advice in check Usain bolt eats 10,000 calories per day, cus he works hard. He works out not 'working out for 5 hours' hard, but working out with such intensity that he is apparenty sick after a lot of his drills, if you get the point You dont wana 'lose weight', you wana be an athlete right? Athletes do not go on diets. They get their lifestyle in check
I think calorie counting is ok, but you need to eat the right foods, good protein's will help you feel fuller for longer, if you feel hungry drink water, eat fruit, nuts. Once you get used the cleaner eating you will start to feel great, if you are working out 3/4 times a week you can probably go over on the calories you are eating.
Lol. What? It's not difficult if you try. The reason people fail at counting calories is because they're too lazy to get it all sorted. Also, there's a good reason to count calories for some people i.e. models, body builders, athletes etc it's pretty much required.
Im talking calorie restriction to lose weight Counting calories to lose weight, to me, means at some point you will stop counting calories. Then your back at sqaure one. Why not go through the means to become fit and regulate your hormones and motabolism which burns calories at rest, then you dont have to count every calorie you eat Like i said, athletes dont spend there time constantly counting their calories. They train right and eat the correct foods, the fat loss takes care of itself. An atheletes job is to perform, and if your taking less calories than you need then you are not performing your best
To lose weight you dummy prik. Does Usain Bolt eat 1750 calories a day in order to lose weight, not does he **** cus he trains right
