The prik who started this thread ain't no lightning bolt and needs to man up in the kitchen, and if that means counting calories so be it. One way or another he/she needs to sort it out. But he won't cos he's not serious, so our efforts are all in vain anyway lol. :hey
Counting calories can be done to lose or gain weight... This makes no sense. :huh Irrelevant to calorie counting. An athlete may not initially count the calories, that's what a dietitian is employed to do, but I can guarantee you any top class athlete has a number of calories to hit on any given day, if you think they don't you're clueless.
*****'ole your ALWAYS on here bashing other peoples advice, like nobody knows anything but you :deal So can you present me with your qualifications and what YOU have acheived to make your advice the ruling opinion? Losing weight and gaining weight is dependant on calories yes, but you dont have to COUNT them. The OP thinks he needs 1750 to lose weight, thats **** all. He will spend all his days stressing about counting out his 1750 calories, and in the end he will have lost weight yes but half of that will be muscle mass and he wont be in better shape than he is now. 1750 calories he will be hungry, bad moods, low testosterone levels and no energy to perform in whatever it is he is doing Im saying, **** counting his calories, just watch what you eat, eat only meat veg fruit and water and train hard and watch his body transform better than it ever would counting out his 1750 per day And what your saying about a dietition, they do more than count calories mate, if you think they dont your the clueless one. A proper dietition will make sure his athlete is eating the correct macronutrients to acheive whatever it is his goal is. Im saying there is better things for him to focus on than counting out his 1750 per day, cus if he needs that little to lose 'weight' then somethings seriously wrong with his training and eating habits Get fit, eat fight, train hard and the rest will take care of itself
He needs to maintain a calorie deficit to lose weight. Depending on his total daily energy expenditure that figure may not be excessively low. Chances are the prik's figures are all over the place. That's why it wouldn't be a bad idea for him to sit down and work it all out for himself. If he was serious he'd do that. As well as train hard, of course. Which does f*ck all for fat/weight loss without a calorie controlled diet. atsch
The point in bold, im not arguing with. Get that right if it came across different, im just saying if he does the right things he wont have to count them and worry about them since hes only 20% body fat Your right tho, and the point of his thread was that 1750 is too low If he ate more of the right foods and trained consistently hard, that number would double, then he wouldnt have to watch it
I only bash the clueless guys giving bull**** advice. My qualifications and achievements are entirely irrelevant. What I am stating is common sense and common knowledge within the fitness community. Instead of attempting to attack me why don't you prove me wrong? Sorry to burst your bubble, but for optimal weight loss/gain yes you do have to count your calories. Will he or will he not lose weight consuming 1750 calories per day? I think you'll find the answer is yes. This is another area where you're clueless. Any times you're eating in a different way you put a plan together, you know what you're eating, when and quantities. If you have a plan there is no stress. I'm not surprised you don't know this, though. Really? What if he eats only meat, veg and fruit but consumes 4576 calories per day. Is he still going to lose weight? Calories don't matter as long as he's eating healthy, right? Thanks for stating the obvious. This goes to prove my point even more..
We don't know his BF only his BMI, which he says is 21. And if he's 20% BF then he's plenty to worry about.. No matter what he eats or does that number won't double bro. If anyone needs to start counting his calories this prik does. :good
Bull**** advice? Hold on Eating good foods and exercising right is now bull**** advice? Stop giving **** advice mate, if it was as simple as counting a few calories then everybody would be ripped. **** it, im going to count out 1750 calories of macdonalds every ****ing day and see how i get on The advice you give is good when advised to a 50 year old woman wanting to lose 50 pounds. But for a grown man at 20% bf needs to TRANSFORM his body, not lose 'weight'. He cant lose weight unless he takes 1750 calories a day, he needs to address what he is eating and his exercise plan, in order to eat more calories, cus 1750 is not sustainable Weight and fat are different, thought you would know that? If he eats his 1750 calories a day to answer your question yes he will lose weight, he will lose water, he will lose a lotm of muscle too. And when hes done, he will still be 20% bf :deal Your knowlage on the subject is limited, you think weight and fat are the same thing :rofl Answer this, dont twist it, who is in better shape out of these 2 guys - guy 1 eats 1750 calories everyday, consisting of only macdonalds - guy 2 eats 4576 calories everyday, consisting of beef, salmon, tuna, veg, fruit guy 1 counts them calories, guy 2 just eats till hes full and recovered Both train hard. Who is in better shape? Who has the lower bf %?
You dont need to keep swiching accounts from this one to virus to give yourself assurance Im in great shape, and dont count my calories so i just do what works for me and what i have been advised too. Im sure you are in competition shape though right, so if it works for you then cool
Go on, teach me where im going wrong. Teach me how the 'eat good foods and train hard' advice i gave is wrong Tell me what you know about the bodys hormonal response and the effects it will have on the OP if he eats only 1750 calories per day? Then tell me why you do not reccomend he increases his calories and eats better foods? Then tell me why your OPINIONS are facts? Seems you dont discuss much, just tell other people they are wrong with nothing to offer yourself
Eating 1750 in calories a day is sustainable, if you are eating the right foods! 2000 is about the recommended amount with excercise incorporated you can increase it. The key point here for me is eating the right foods, If you are eating good protein within your 1750 calories you wont lose muscle, you will lose fat.
You really aren't very bright. Where did I state the entire process is as simple as counting calories, please quote me. Counting calories is the optimal way to lose/gain weight whatever the age or the goal of the individual. It's pretty simple really. Why you have this obsession with 1750 calories I don't know. My point is for optimal weight loss/gain you have to count your calories. How can you not understand this? You think this makes you look smart? :huh Hahaha. You really have no clue. Quote where I said this. First of all define "better shape". Then tell me exactly what each of their training consists of. Also, give me a time frame and the weight, body fat of each individual and what those macdonalds meals consist of. You can't take something that can be a difficult question to answer and attempt to make it a very simple looking to prove your point. Straw man after straw man after straw man. Can you stop being so dishonest and making up what you think I think and stick to what has been said in reality?
Loool you twist everything, every little sentance. Sad how much time you have on you hands. Im at work and havent got time to go into the detail that you do, but my view on it il sum it up, before i go. Its a big commitment spent on counting every calorie you consume, for the rest of your life really? Focus that effort elsewhere Counting calories does not address the problem issue, which is an unhealthy lifestyle. Fix it, then you dont need to count your calories Foods you should be eating, steak, fish, nuts, veg, its hard to count these calories. How many calories in a medium steak with some steamed broccoli and some brown rice? Its hard to count. The only things that come with set calories you can count come in a ****ing packet or box, you dont want to be eating that ****, and the measurements are usually way off Count your macros, not your calories. What if you hit your calories but have had no healthy fats that day? Wouldnt it be heathier to have some extra calories so you get them omegas, or some protein Your hormones tell you when your hungry or not, if these are off due to your lifestyle then eating fewer calories is not going to resolve the hormonal issue, so sooner or later you will fail What if he reduces his calories, and then realises hes skinny and fat, no muscle mass and wont lose no more weight. He cant lower them anymore, so what does he do? Well what he does is takes my advice, eat properly and train hard Its no coincidence that people who count calories spend their life yo-yo dieting, and never suceed in what they want.
