Met her a handful of times over in Rainham when she was training at Mark’s gym. I hate her public persona but liked her a lot as an individual. Doing what she needs to do to secure her financial future. She knows she’ll be old news in 2-3 years at best.
The very fact that women’s boxing is so regularly accepted on men’s shows when tickets and PPVs cost the same/more than before they were when the quality and quantity is far, far worse is a perfect example of how if told how to think enough by the media, or in this case Eddie Hearn and other promoters seemingly intelligent people will start believing it and following suit. Mind blowing.
Yep, one hundred percent correct. At least while the women's fights are on it gives me a chance to watch a bit of Bosch Legacy or something, until the main event is on I like Serrano and Katy Taylor, but they've more than earned their spot on big cards, whereas a 4-5 fight novice, has not, irrespective of their gender, I do include Campbell Hatton here as well
They kind of have , when compared to the likes of Teri Harper, Taylor rematched the fighter that arguably best her, Serrano has what, 48 pro fights, and neither have avoided tough fights. So I'd say, yeah, they're more worthy of a spot than some that have been given the spotlight
I just don’t think people should be forced to pay for two people the slightly above average man would put out cold in a fight. The whole reason most are attracted to boxing is because of the awe of it. The admission by many they wouldn’t have the guts to try it and the almost superhuman fitness, dedication, skill and determination of it all. When 2 women are boxing badly landing clean shot after clean shot and absolutely having no affect on their opponents consciousness, time after time. I just don’t see how it can be seen as anything other than what it is. A PC, money saving, virtue signalling exercise. People talk about LEVELS all the time in boxing. This is the perfect example of it. I know numerous women who don’t have chips on their shoulders and aren’t over the top feminists who feel the same.
I don’t watch it but the fact it’s on, on shows I want to buy tickets or watch is either forcing me not to watch that night or pay for an inferior product.
The point it s obly gonna grow into a more entertaining spectacle if promoted as currently. People will be getting ripped off until the end of time .Always have always will.
Are they going to suddenly defy evolution and become quicker, stronger, more powerful? As a fan of boxing, why are you happy with being ripped off?
