Adamek really wants the k brothers. Back to back fights against taller fighters. Plus dimitrenko has a decent jab. I think adamek schools him though. Probably a late stoppage.

grant is the equivalent to golota. a big, shot fighter that polish TV will pay him to fight!

the next opponent or 2 (as was the case after golota, estrada and arreola) will e tougher.

can't see adamek challenging for a title after beating grant. i think he'll beat another contender i.e. dimitrenko.

dimitrenko, and also sosnowki, are interesting. both got a beating in their last big fights. but they show potential to make for exciting fights. dimitrenko tried extremely hard vs chambers. but because he could not penetrate chambers' turtle defense, and because he didn't defend himself well, he got beaten up. one thing that impressed me was how hard he tried, even though it was futile.

Dimitrenko was outboxed and dismantled by a faster and cleaner puncher. For all of Dimitrenko's size advantage he could neither control distance nor out-muscle his opponent and fought on his back foot in almost every round; he even managed to get knocked down.

true, chambers had his number. chambers' winky style was always going to shut someone out.

nonetheless, dimitrenko tried a lot of punches, jabs, uppercuts, right hands. he could not sustain anything. but against less defensively brilliant fighters, he could do some damage. it was a disastrous night for him, but he did show some flashes of promise: this guy could feature in some good fights.

I guess Dimitrenko could come back a-la Wlad Klitschko and revive his career, sure everyone has an off night, but I've never seen that level of dedication/determination in him in the first place.

he is a very talented fighter. he has rare speed and flash for a giant. i think that's the problem. he lacks the physical strength and the confidence. he won't stand his ground and he lets lesser fighters walk him down. i actually think he would back away from former light heavyweight adamek. he's a weak/talented big man, who could maybe become a bit of a wild card at heavyweight.

adamek certainly seems to be a good opportunity for dimitrenko. he'll have plenty of advantages, physically at least.

a great fight for adamek, who could win on experience alone, but who can get good at fighting bigger men by fighting first grant (who apparently is going to be exceptionally SLOW) and then dimitrenko.

the absolute contrast between adamek and dimitrenko could produce a memorable fight, and we need plenty of those at heavyweight.

hopefully there's a title elim and lots of money on the line, so that it happens.

have any of you noticed how far dimitrenko leans forward when he fights?

he really gives his height away.

his chin should be in firing range for the 6'2-ish adamek's right hand.

adamek showed he could circle left and right, consistently, vs arreola. here he would have to circle left, away from dimitrenko's jab, which is very hard when he puts some "oomph" into it.

dimitrenko looked heavier than usual in the european title fight. is he bulking up a bit, so he can use his size to try to dominate opponents better?

Good fight. Adamek only fights dangerous opponents.

No Harrison vacanted the belt. Now Dimitrenko ist champ, Harrison mandatory.

Afaik at least 5 out of your last 10 fights must have taken place in Europe if you want to fight for that belt. So Adamek cant win it probably anyway..

this adds to what i thought - that adamek would not go for a european title, but that he would fight a vacated european champion for something like a world title eliminator.

It's still laughable to me that one judge scored that a "German draw". :lol:/:-(
