Yep, all 20 that had brought tickets. Bang on. No doubt DeGale's opponent will have an 'injury' or something, probably like that one Kotelnik suffered before the Khan fight that left me out of pocket. Least surprising cancellation of the year probably.
Cheers mate, I really appreciate it. What with all the stress of Christmas coming up and the excessive spending I was hoping these two bumper cards would go some way to cheering my up and allowing me to relax a bit
degale is not a draw. the card belonged at the york hall. whats Box Nation gonna do then. wheres my £10 going this month?
Are you that naive you expected this channel to be anything half as good as you bellends debated about for months. Like i said one **** card every week and odd German card will be what your £10 buys. This is why Boxing will always be on offer for free whilst i got a hole in my arsehole....:deal Not all of us are greedy bullet dodging *******s.
Live from St. George's Hall, Liverpool WBO Inter Continental Lightweight Championship Stephen Ormond vs Carl Johanneson thats your december viewing for boxnation! i think frank needs to start putting small hall shows on and get the grass roots audience to subscribe!
This is precisely why I haven't paid for the channel. The £10 a month isn't a significant amount of money but it's the principle of it. I don't want to pay for a channel which will continuously let the fans down. They have a service to provide, and that just isn't for the people who buy tickets to these shows, but it's also for the people who are paying that subscription fee and by cancelling this show, they're not providing that service. They're just ****ing over the fans who can't get a refund. The £10 isn't much and I want to pay it. That's not the issue here though, it's the blatant fact that Box Nation will continuously **** over the fans who have paid a subscription fee. It's just disappointing. Box Nation should provide a much better service than this. If they had gone a month or two and put on great show after great show, I'd have happily paid the subscription fee. My worry was that they'd get a lot of subscribers and not provide a good service for them, which is why I didn't pay, and that has sadly come true. I hope the channel can improve though, I really do. It can be something great for British boxing and if/when that happens, I'll happily pay. Right now though, the fans aren't getting value for their money. You can say "it costs a pint of beer a week!" and whilst that's true, I'd rather have a pint of beer than watch a rerun of Bunce's Boxing Hour for the 8th time that week. I think it's simple though. I don't think they have a good or deep enough stable to warrant a subscription channel.
December is one of the worst time to try and stage a boxing promotion who wants to shell out on £50 tickets to see prospect v TBA when we are in the middle of the recession and people are probably straped for cash because of xmas anyway. Dec was a peculiar time for them to launch a boxing channel as traditionally Dec Jan are fairly quiet months in boxing terms comparatively.
Yep, mate. With Jan being quiet as well we'll another 2 months of "Wheres my tenner gone?" complaints!
I actually think that is why they launched now. They have 2 months to get an idea of how many subscribers they are going to get and what budget they have to work with while limiting their expenditure because they aren't shows for people to ask for. They were crazy to talk about 2 shows a week because they were never going to deliver that every week IMO.
Saunders tweets are fairly damning - hard to make out what hes on about but seems to be having a dig at Frank and co.
Everyone seems quite pissed off- Stephen Smith "As most have already heard, my fight this Friday is off. The show has been cancelled, will now take place Jan 27th! Not good 2 weeks b4 xmas" Joe Selkirk "This boxing is a ****ing joke!!" Liam Smith "Pissssed offffff!!! ****in hate boxing when this happens, joke, 3 days be4 a show, 2 weeks be4 Xmas, no good at all...."
