    Big fight, yes.
Does well on PPV - yes.
1 million buys at 25 quid doesn’t give you a crazy budget though.

But it’s basically the equivalent of booking Madrid vs Barcelona in a friendly football match - entertaining and with a big enough pull, but ultimately meaningless outside of the spectacle.

If it was an undisputed fight? Allow Bin Salman to hand out the belts at the end and money would be no object. Saudi crowns one of the world’s most important and historic sporting titles etc etc. It’s just not the same and PPV numbers won’t come into it IMHO.

Johnny Nelson also said that Bellew is technically better than Usyk.
I am assuming that a stumbling block is that when Joshua and Wilder were initially offered the money for the fight, the plan was for Fury vs Usyk Undisputed to headline. I think without Fury vs Usyk, since the event isn’t as prestigious, maybe Joshua and Wilder haven’t been offered as much money as they expected ?

Wilder hasn’t come out and said anything about the negotiations so it’s difficult to know. It seems like he wants another fight before Joshua since his last fight was last year and only lasted 1 round.

The thing is, when will he be ready if not now?

He's 33-34, been a champ for years, had world class training since he started and has not had any major layoffs due to injury/mental elf etc.

They're talking like he's still a raw novice.

They might be thinking that he can wait out until Fury, Uski and Wilder retire, then he'll be the best amongst the pathetic bunch remaining (Caroline Dubois' little bro, ruiz, hrgovic etc.)

Joshua has never dethroned a genuine World Champion in the ring.

The vacated route is his career

About time Joshua faced a live pulse after the Franklin and Helenius farces.

No excuses for the Wilder fight not happening next whether in Saudi, London or Vegas.

Don't think Joshua can beat a live opponent and expect him to fight next April against the loser of Clarke v Allen.

AJ does allude to the fact that he's stil learning, a lot of the time. He tries to make out that he's a sponge and soaks in other people's opinions. He asks randomers on the street, what he should do in his upcoming fight. It's all very odd. It's like he has very little confidence in his own ability so has to fall back on that he's stil learning.

You wouldn't hear Fury, Wilder or Usyk say they're stil learning.

Joseph Parker says hi. Your obsession and hate for Joshua is obsessive and crazy at this point. The thing is that you praise Joe Joyce so much when his best win is Parker who you give no credit to Joshua for beating, when Joshua beat a younger, fresher, undefeated and World Champion version of Parker.

I feel sorry for you that Joyce and Dubois both lost recently. Luckily Joyce will avenge his defeat against the 40+ year old Zhang.
Joshua beats Bakole pretty easily in my opinion. Billy Nelson said they have something “big” planned for Bakole, which is why they declined the offer to rematch Michael Hunter.

    We are still waiting…

How can you ever be ready for Wilder anyway? At some point he’s going to land big on you no matter how you prepare/what plan you have. Wilder is pushing 40 years old. That fight needs to be made now. But it won’t. I never thought it would be anyway. I don’t think either of them really want it tbh.

Stiverne, Parker, Charles Martin won vacated belts and Parker was never ever anything but a paper Champion like Joshua.

Says it all when the barrel is scraped for Joshua's best win and amongst the pile of turd, Parker is scraped off the bottom along with an Old Man aged 41.

Take those Matchroom Goggles off and smell the aroma.

Joshua was never much better than British level Whyte and Chisora.

Joshua cannot prepare for any big puncher and folds like a deckchair when first bomb lands.

There will be no shaky legs Adam, it will be lights out and flat on the canvas.

He will get up after 7 minutes, make a speech about the fight being stopped early and demand yet another rematch.

I honestly think the money the Saudis were thinking of paying has reduced. The fight against Franklin they had to close off blocks to make it look a sell out.

He was being booed after 3 rounds in an empty 02 again Helenius.

Reckon the Saudis have chopped of a good chunk of what they valued AJ

He was never great in the first place only winning belts off people who fought for vacated titles.

Hearn done a real number on the mug public along with his other mediocre fighters including Whyte, Chisora and Bellew.

Even Dave Allen was only one David Price win away from Box Office Loot.

At long last, the public are awake and seen through Hearn's spin.
