Marcianno crushes Jones without working up a sweat. Jones couldnt fight a lick. Against Marciannol, he wouldnt get a punch off. If he fought amateur, he would be considered a raw novice. Stupid question from a ****ing idiot that doesnt know **** about boxing.
The classic forum is a joke. Better posts in General, you have to siphon through a lot of **** to find them mind...
Coliding yes,not taking a full on punch to the chin,or as rocky did dozens of punches all over the body and the head
Is this a joke? Ed Jones was HORRIBLE as a fighter. He was stiff, rigid...he SUCKED. I'd pick ROCKY BALBOA to beat him, much less the great Marciano!
When I see a thread like this, all I can think of are boys the world over in the 1940s who bought into those Charles Atlas ads on the backs of magazines, where this spindly kid with a girl on the beach, who gets sand kicked in his face by a bully, returns a year later to kick his ass after building a body like Superman. Being Goliath only matters in a comic book, not in the ring.
Getting hit by an NFL lineman is one thing. Getting hit by a short wellturned over dynamite right hand is another. They are two completely different types of blows. Jones could not take Marciano`s best shot, period.
I was thinking the same thing....only fighter over 6"7 who was quality were Valuev and Vitali and they use modern training and weight methods....Yet I still dont see them holding up to Rockys 15 rd battering and pace
an Alltime Great Fighter Vs a Big man with 6 Fights it should be obvious yet I know some have taken Jones to win which is Laughable I havent read the whole thread
