Eddie Chambers cries robbery about his loss to Alexander Povetkin, but even his parents agreed with the decision that night. Eddie got scared and stopped throwing punches.

He says he was sick the night he lost to Mchunu. Or was it because he was too slow and because he stayed in his shell, lacking the courage to open up and go after his opponent?

He talks about beating Adamek with "one arm" but he clearly lost that fight and I don't buy that "one arm" excuse. Eddie is no Lomachenko!

Now Eddie's fighting very soft opponents.

Did he discover that his problem isn't really lack of size, it's lack of heart and talent? Maybe he should stop making excuses and be honest with himself.

I think it has more to do with his new management as his lack of confidence.
The Adamek fight was pretty close by the way. The one wide score was bull.

you see it alot with these 'slick' fighters, low punch output in the 12rounds, survive the fight avoid some punishment, land some crafty counters. Think they have won the fight. **** losers mentality, and never do enough to win the fights, let alone take a title from the champion.

He claims a lot of big names are avoiding him, and this is the reason he's not fighting.

I find it believable, Eddie is tricky and fast as hell, difficult to hit consistently, and can expose virtually anyone except the really top in the division.

Thats a horrible part of boxing.
Hes the champion, the best in the division(so to speak) and just beating him is not enough? :-(

I've heard that Chambers has had an extremely hard time lining up meaningful fights. At least he's been busy though.... Even if the opposition is subpar. Activity alone will keep you relevant, look at Shannon Briggs!

    Ive no problem with it.

He had been very inactive in recent years. Fighting guys regularly, even if they are soft opponents is good for him.

He can step up next year.

You either win a fight or lose a fight.

There is no "taking a title from the champion"

Chambers has plenty of talent, you have to be blind not to see that. His counterpunching and combos can be absolutely delightful to watch.

As of his recent opponents, it is entirely possible that Eddie is on the downslide of his career, but overall, he didn't have a bad run and he did have some pretty good victories in the heavyweight division - three wins against top 10 opponents in the Ring ranking at the time he fought them, that is more than more heavies around.

He never had any wins over top ten opponents.

Calvin Brock dropped out of the Ring top ten rankings after he was KOed by Wladimir, and Sam Peter dropped out after he was schooled by Vitali. Alexander Dimitrenko wasn't really very good and wasn't top ten in any respectable heavyweight rankings.

Eddie lost to Povetkin, Klitschko and Adamek. His fight with Brock was very close, a lot of people had Brock winning.

Chambers did have two legit wins over the mediocre Rossy.
