He beat Adamek but I wouldn't mind if he retired today. Not half the fighter he used to be.

So I did some fact checking. Brock - I give you that one - he did fall out of the top 10 after he fought Wlad. TYou are wrong on the other two.

Samuel Peter was number 7 in the Ring rankings as of the end of 2008 - after he lost to Vitaly. Chambers was his next fight.

Dimitrenko was number 10 in the Ring heavyweight rankings for the end of 2008 before he fought Chambers (number 10) and stayed in the top 10 even after he lost to Chambers (number 9 in 2009).

Good post, and the Peter Fury experiment, of changing Eddie's style into that of a boxer puncher MAY turn out top be the end of Eddie Chambers, or that little bit he was lacking to be a titlist.

How would Ruslan Chagaev fare vs this version of Eddie Chambers who can can NOW sit down on shots, while at any moment slip outside and drive crafty 1-2s off the backfoot in a counter situation.

Hard to tell given the lack of quality opposition, but if/when he gets a shot at another top 20, I think we'll find out if the Fury experiment is a pass or fail.:good

Peter the pikey Fury is a laughing stock among trainers in Manchester. Fast food Eddie who is dog sh!t won't be getting any better with him that's for sure.

Mchunu took Eddie's heart. Never have i seen a pure boxer such as Eddie get completly humiliated the way Mhunu did to him. Eddie could not land anything literally. He's taking BUM fights to look good.

    Let's wait and see.

You can be certain that Chambers vs DelBoy is next if Fury beats Chisora.

And if Chambers is 90% of what he was vs Potvetkin, he'll KTFO DelBoy.:think

It has subsequently become apparent that Povetkin, good as he is, is a perennial slow starter. Chambers jumped in and stole those early rounds, then Povetkin woke up and dominated the fight.

Chambers has the tools to be a cruiserweight champ, or even a heavyweight champ if he can get someone like Stiverne, but OP correctly identified his problem of staying in his shell and not really trying to take the fight from the other guy.

Unless he beats that he will never be very good, and sadly, it is probably too late.

If Chisora loses to Fury he won't be fighting fast food Eddie. He will fight Joshua for decent money. Dog sh!t Eddie may as well tell Pete the pikey thanks for nothing and go home.
