Trains at my gym. Not nearly as big a guy as you'd think, but in very good shape.

Exactly. Chambers can't reach the top of the division but he will fight practically anybody and he deserves 'props' for that.

he can certainly beat chagaev but you're right about the rest. chambers would clearly outbox the above average chagaev who doesn't have the power, size, or work rate to make up for the skill and handspeed disparities (between he and chambers). chagaev ain't even top 5 at this point (who'd he beat? ruiz by sd? valuev?)

He would beat Povetkin in a rematch that I am sure of.

Today he can beat them them all, but can he beat them on fight night?

I saw nothing down the stretch against Sam Peter to convince me that he (being Chambers) would win.

If he'd have said any US heavyweights, I'd probably agree with him, but he's just a cut below the top foreign comp. It's not too late for him to make his move, though- a win over Dimitrenko would go a long ways towards throwing his name back into discussion and guarantee him a title shot.

I have more doubts on his training an eating habits.
H'es a small HW with tits. You have to be a big one to carry them well.

    Personal theory...

Has anyone heard a statement from team Chambers about those Dimitrenko-Chambers-rumours ?

On pain of being branded a semantic niggler, Chambers can beat anybody (as just about anybody can beat anybody), but that doesn't mean he will.

Chambers will beat all but a relatively small handful of active heavyweights in the boxing ring.
