and if I was his corner, I might have considered stopping the fight. What an embarrssing performance. He clearly did not want to fight after the 4th round and has ZERO chance of winning anything in the HW division. Povetkin, by the way, is NOT that good either folks. Yes, he had a great workrate but ANY decent HW would have beaten him. He would not stand a chance against Klitschko. He would be stopped by the 8th round. But back to Chambers, what a frustrating performance. What the fucc was he witing for ALL NIGHT. Just about every time he actually did let his hands go, he caoght Povetkin clean. If he had just thrown some punches, he could have definitely won the fight. What a letdown.
Yeah I agree man. I just watched a guy punch someone gloves for 3/4 of the fight. Eddie is a way better boxer but just did not want it. Wlad will destroy either of these clowns.
he really pissed me off..all he had to do was jab and keep going to the body but this guy just stood there and blocked punches
8th? After seeing how many flush shots Chambers landed in the first 3-4 rounds, I think it would be much sooner than 8th. A few of those flush shots from Klitschko and it would be lights out for Povetkin.
klitschko would hav him out in three rounds, chambers should b ashamed of himself , wat the f*** hapn after th fourth round he just stopd fghting.
Chambers needs to drop 20 pounds and move down to cruiserweight. He didn't throw enough punches. He should have (1) threw his jab more and (2) at least attempted to counter Povetkin more often because his counters were landing - he has accuracy. The fact that he is overly defense without the ability to really let his hands go will hurt him when he fights somebody bigger, stronger, with a better workrate. For the first 3 rounds, he was winning the fight and landing clean punches flush on Povetkin. He just couldn't sustain it.
I think he had never been hit as hard or felt the pressure ALL night long. Eddie looked like GUINN tonight. His only notable fight was Brock.
Guinn is a good comparison. Afraid to let his hands go. Only difference is that Chambers has more talent and skills than Guinn so it's even MORE frustrating watching him languish.
problem for Eddie was he felt the power and wanted to survive not win, so much for sleeping in cars, did not make him as hungry as Alex was, A.P. looked green but was smart enough to finish his combo's with the jab so that he was set and not open to counters///advice for A.P. keep fighting contenders and learn a bit more, avoid Klitschko for now
I don't know why you guys are complaining about Chambers, he was expected to lose and he lost. Yeah he could of probably won, but he didn't know how to deal with the pressure that was in front of him. (Povetkin) I haven't see the fight yet, (just missed it) but you would think a fighter that does well for the first 3 rounds would sustain that type of pace, he probably has some mental issues or something. He should move down to crusierweight because he looked awfully small compared to Povetkin, and Povetkin is not a big heavyweight himself.
