Hope chambers is allright after the heavy knockout! Too young and too talented to quit the sport! Would love to see him at cruiserweight!
I'm still honestly trying to figure out how the punch even landed. Wlad basically punched through Chambers' high guard and knocked him out with a hook...:huh
Chambers saw the hook from wladimir coming and thought it would hit him more on the ear area and moved his right hand back and wladimir caught him right on the temple! Actually for me it was a bit of a lucky shot because chambers is actually brilliant at blocking those shots!
It was one of the least convincing KOs I've seen in some time...especially considering some of the straight rights he took earlier in the fight.
Chambers didn't lose to a bum he lost to one of the best heavyweight boxers in recent years so I doubt he retires. A couple of tune-ups and he should be fine.
I'm being funny, but Eddie Chambers had NO business being in the ring against Wlad, heavyweights in general, but more so the big Russians. Chambers never actually grew in to a heavy weight and he never will. Look at it, he was 209lbs coming in to that fight, and that's even without being cut. If the guy was cut he would be comfortably 200lbs, maybe even less!! How on Earth can a natural Cruiser be put in with a Bigger than usual heavyweight? I mean don't get me wrong, Chambers took a lot of Wlad's shots, but taking shots clean and hard, a guy that small, it's gonna hurt, and yeah risking serious injury. I think if the guy is to fight again, he needs to go down a weight.
The sad part is, Where does he go from here? He already had his shot & Blew it.... It's palin to see he can't beat either Klit. Why stick around? Wait for Haye? Go down to Cruiser Eddie, HW is not for you.

I think Chambers should move down to cruiserweight. IMO a boxer should never be in a division where they can't compete because they are too small, it's like Mayweather competing in the Middleweight division. Boxers need to understand their limits. A boxer doesn't need to be 6'4 with 80" to compete in the HW division, a boxer just needs to be big enough, unfortunately Chambers is not big enough despite being a top HW.
I would totally disagree with Chambers being unable to compete in the heavyweight division. He has already beaten three top 10 fighters as well as a handful of fringe guys. Most ratings put him in the top five of the divison. Chambers is competing quite succesfully at heavyweight. Being a top guy at heavyweight is much better than being a top guy at cruiserweight. Paydays, prestige, publicity, etc. are all higher at heavyweight. Moving to cruiserweight would be a bad move by Chambers, I can't see much upside at all in the move.
I was quietly impressed with Chambers. Very skilled fighter. If he was bigger and stronger he might have had a chance. I agree though, that KO was brutal, psychologically he might be a bit ****ed up by it.
