Chambers will need more than an aluminium bat.

It's interesting to see what Chambers is thinking. But overall I'm left with one thought.

He says he has a plan. So what? As the famous Tyson quote goes "Everybody has a plan until they git hit so hard in the head that they **** out their kidneys" (I'm paraphrasing)

I heard a few other fighters saying this even before Tyson was born :-(

That was a learning experience for Vlad as the McCall and Rahman fights were for Lewis. Vlad came in cold and he highly underated the avoided Sanders who with quick hands a ver hard punch and southpaw style would be a problem for anyone. Speed is a factor but in this fight Vlad took Sanders lightly. Sanders was avoided by many and Lewis's promoters bought his promotional rights. I knew that was a stupid fight for Vlad. It was suposed to be a quick blow-out and it was

True because Wlad has never made the same mistake again. He has not underestimated anybody or taken that kind of beating again. Too bad it is a big mark on his legacy. Just about every bum after that fight says they can KO him. Even Ray Austin was calling Wlad's jaw glass. Funny how that fight turned out Wlad beat him with one hand tied behind his back

I just don't see Chambers beating Wlad, or even being competitive past the first 4-5 rounds. Sure, Chambers can box, but so could Chris Bryd.
What does Chambers offer that Chris Bryd didn't? I don't see much myself...

I think out of Vitali and Wlad's next fights, Vitali has a harder challenge in Johnson that Wlad does with Chambers.

Well Chambers is different from Byrd but they are similar too. If you watched Dimitrenko-Chambers, Chambers had a hard time getting within range, it's just that he blocked and slipped almost every punch that Dimitrenko threw.

It will be interesting to see how Chambers gets within punching range against Wladimir Klitschko, because that's his only shot at winning.

I just hope that Wlad's inactivity from the shoulder surgery won't affect him much.

I think Chambers has the speed and chin to survive for quite a while. Johnson really does not have great movement or foot work he's gonna get cut up by Vitali. Chambers will last longer I think or atleast take less of a beating may eve nhear the final bell something I would not bet money on for johnson

There is obviously only one way to beat fighter like Wladimir (of Vitali, for that matter).

And that is to do alot of bobbing and weaving with alot of head and waistmovement as you try to avoid his shots and quickly get inside Wlad's range when he misses, and land when you are in close where Wlad is vulnerable.

Chagaev tried this, and he obviouslly had the right plan, its just that he wasn't good enough at executing it.

But Wlad and Vitali are so big and skilled, that I highly doubt ANYone is quick and powerful enough and tough enough to work their way inside and deliver the goods. Chambers is fast, but I doubt he'll make them miss so much they'll wish the fight were over......Even if Chambers could avoid getting hit for most of the fight, how is that gonna cause him, Chambers to win?

It was Sarcasm. Valuev is one of the slowest heavyweights and his punching power is average. Against Klitschko Haye is going to run at the sound of the bell and scream HELP! Anybody? Help!

perhaps if he can work the body effectively he may have a hope against Klit, if not I'm afraid it could be another lights out performance although the bros are aging, maybe it's time for a young hungry guy to get thru

Vlad must fight the fight like it is going 12 rds and look to win rd by rd. There is a danger of falling behind to Chambers and his stamina has improved since he dropped 15 lbs. Chambers want to be the counterpuncher and if he sucks Vlad into the chase he wants to flurrie in spurts late in the fight. Vlad must keep Chambers at bay with the jab and win rds. Chambers will land shots that other fighters could not but he is also in with a different level of offence in Vlad. Vlad has to keep the jab out there and the KO will come but do not take Chambers lightly.

Chambers has the heart & skill, But I don't see it happening against either Klit.
The guy just don't have the "Punch" to make a Klit respect him.

Both bros. would/should stop him, 9-10'ish
(From what we seen of them in '09)

To beat Wlad you have to get him to lower his head. Chambers should fight in a low crouch make Wlad have to bend to punch and counter him coming in. I remeber Ibragimov would get real low when Wlad threw. Wlad would throw a jab Ibragimov would duck real low and Wlad would come in with the right and Ibragimov would spring up with a sharp left. That is why Wlad stopped throwing combinaions he knew to hit him he had to bring his head down. Meaning he would have to walk into a left. This limited Wlad's game. However Ibragimov had no plan B. Chambers can win by countering him coming in and getting his head down
