Thoughts? A step up from his recent opponents at least, Nascimento isn't a world beater but he comes to fight. Chambers ought to step in with somebody in the top 50 after this though....
Does Eddie really need a load of tune-up fights, given the level he was once at? Is Peter Fury worried they'll lose their sparring partner if he gets beat again?
It's getting a bit ridiculous, Nascimento is actually a MAJOR step up in class from the stiffs he's been facing atsch He was set to fight Ian Lewison a while back, but the fight got scrapped. Now that would have made for a decent fight, at least Lewison can punch and comes to fight. 24-98 the combined record of Chambers last 3 opponents, yeah they're that bad....
I guess I'm just a bit baffled by the whole thing. I'm not sure any promoter would touch him now he's exiled himself over here.
It is difficult to understand what exactly his motivation is for relocating over here. It can't be for the money because I wouldn't think he is being paid anymore than he would over in the USA. It can't be because he feels he will get a push towards the titles as the priority of that team will always be the ever growing number of Fury heavyweights. Still, I like the guy and he seems bright enough to be able to weigh up the pros and cons of the situation.
Even old Audrey would be a better opponent than Nascimento. Looks like someone is unwilling to pay for a decent opponent for Chambers.
Is Eddie signed with Hennessy now? If he is I can only imagine Mick isn't offering any decent kind of money for good opponents and as a result they are just matching him with bums for the time being. It is a bit ridiculous, I can understand 1 gimme but after that he should have been gradually stepping up.
Same here. Nascimento is a much better choice of opponent than Fraudley at this point. Not only cheaper, but better.
No he wouldn't have been. He's just looking for a payday. Nascimento is willing to fight all comers for next to nothing, and actually gives a good account of himself most of the time, unlike Fraudley.
Chambers doesn't have the power of Haye, Price or Wilder. I think stylistically it could be a decent fight for both men. Nascimento won't be a problem for Chambers, I expect a KO around 3 or 4. He won't learn anything from it.
