Byrd was shot in that fight. 37 years old, and hasn't done much of anything over the past few years. In fact, I'm not even so sure that I understand why it was stopped. Sure Povetkin only had 13 or 14 fights, but its not like he's a kid either. He's 28 years old, and a former olympian. Byrd should have been viewed as by far the more disadvantaged of the two.

1 inch in height and maybe 10 LBS isn't a huge advantage at heavyweight. Especially when the slightly smaller guy has vast experience over the other.

Eddie Chambers surprises everyone and beats Povetkin. Better tools for the job.

Povetkin knocks the **** out of him, and Wlad knocks the **** out of Povetkin. Povetkin is being pushed along too fast, I see flaws in his game, and for his management just to feed him to Wlad is irresponsible.

Povetkin couldn't knock the **** out of a paper bag.

Chambers by late stoppage, due to being a REAL fighter.

Chambers is underrated because he didnt put a good performance against Brock, but its not because of Chambers, its because Brock decided to box and hold, thats why Chambers couldnt get off with his punches. The guy has very fast hands and he does best when opponent is coming at him., Povetkin will be coming at him.

Becase Povetkin is my countryman I want him to win, but its a 50/50 fight to pick

Should be an interesting fight. I pick Povetkin because he seems to be
able to adapt to different styles and he has beaten good boxers like
Chris Byrd and Roberto Cammerelle (in amateur fight).

Not sure if Chambers can handle Povetkin's pressure over 12 rounds.

So, I think Povetkin wins this one.

Povetkin will have to KO Chambers to win. Povetkin's style will force Chambers to fight, which is bad news for Alex. Chambers' much faster hands will give him the edge in most rounds. If AP can't catch him with come big shots, and the fight goes the full 12....advantage Chambers.

Chambers is the huge underdog IMO.Within the next few days I will buy my ticket for this upcomming encounter of two undefeated and promising heavy weights.I guess that Chambers has too much on his plate with the former amateur superstar from Russia.
Besides Povetkin has much more experience than Chambers. It doesnt mean anything to beat a couple of no-hopers at the paid ranks.Povetkin had beaten legions of top fighters at the amateurs+has defeated much better opposition in his 14th pro fights than Chambers in 30 pro fights.
To be honest I cant really see Chambers be able to go the full route with Povetkin who just plays in a different league.I may be wrong of course!

I don't know if I agree that Povetkin has infinately more experience than Chambers. 30 pro fights is a big number to have by age 25, whereas 14 bouts at age 28, is somewhat low. In addition, Chambers has wins over Brock, Guinn, and Rossie, who at this point in their careers are probably more competitive than Donald or Byrd. If Byrd and Donald were either at or near their primes, then it would have been a different story, but as it stands, those guys are pretty shot. As for Povetkin's amateur experience, he certainly had a great olympic career, but in all reality, he was probably in his mid 20's facing kids who were either teenagers or in their early 20's. I'm not trying to take his accomplishment away from him by any means, but I think we have to consider his meeting with Chambers as a big step up.

A better question would be, who was Povetkin fighting at age 25? The fact is, he was making his pro debut. Chambers is 25 years old now, nad unbeaten in 30 pro fights, with some slightly better wins.
