It will make him stronger sure, but the guys he is going to fight are also going to be much stronger and hit much harder than the Cruisers :good
God mate you are so dumb and obviously dont understand, when a fighter is severely wheight drained he can lose loads of his punch ressistance atsch Did you not know that genious :yep
Increased weight can improve your chin. As can better training, stamina etc. Haye's fight against Thompson reminded me of Nigel Benn punching himself out and then being knocked by a jab from Michael Watson. Benn then went on to take Gerald McLellan's shots at a weight above. Explain that one to me?
Stopped on his feet when his corner threw in the towel. Exhaustion, rather than anything to do with his chin then.
You're joking right??? The only thing putting extra weight on does for his chin is to ensure that it will be getting cracked by BIGGER guys who hit HARDER!! atsch Given that it didn't stand up too well to SMALLER guys who didn't hit as hard, I am not optimistic about Haye's prospects of remaining vertical against heavyweights for very long. Chambers, however, might be the perfect opponent for him. Both are basically blow up cruisers, and Haye hits harder. I wouldn't entirely rule out Chambers stopping him, however, if he gets the right shot on that shaky chin.
Punched out so much he was falling all over the ring? Ridiculous also because it was only 5 rounds. I don't deny a big part was stamina, but stamina doesn't make your legs do what Hayes were doing.
I don't know where these people get the idea if you put on extra weight you're gonna have more punch resistance. Anybody remember Bob Foster?? He was a monster at LHW, an ATG. At heavyweight his chin was grade A china. Chins don't get better when you move up in weight, they typically get worse - or, if you're lucky, stay the same. In Haye's case, staying the same doesn't bode well for his potential success at HW!:-(
at heavy i beleive haye will have a suspect chin, but there are exceptions to the rule. DLH in his early career at 130 was knocked down or shaken every time he was hit flush, yet at 147 to 154 his chin has stood up well v the divisions elite.
David Haye doesn't want his Lights put Out...I felt James was being very respectful to Haye when he called him a comedian, Haye has since remained silent on Toney.
err come of it, you don't half talk some **** for a guy i thought was quite clever. If you weight drain to get to a certain weight than quite obviously your chin can improve if you move up in weight and don't have to lose so much water. The examples you use are based on a person who is emant to be a certain weight moving up to a higher one, not accounting for the fact that alot of fighters drain weight to fight in classes below there natural size.
