June 16th on NBC Sports Network (showed the Judah-Paris fight). Good fight, if you take the Klitschko's out of the picture there's a lot of entertaining bouts to be made at HW. I like Eddie in this fight, he's a much better boxer and Adamek at HW is featherfisted and won't pose many problems. Shame it's on the same night as Chavez/Lee
Aye eddie should take this but really it shows how weak the HW division is outside of the KO bros, these guys are really just CWs fighting as HWs because there is more money in it unless you're in europe maybe
Nice fight. The sort of fight that should be made more often at heavyweight. Have to favour Eddie if he comes to the fight in shape. Not seen him try to chase down a fighter like he probably will against Adamek but he should take over once Adamek slows down.
I'm not sure i'd favour chambers to be honest, looks like a pick'em to me. Chambers is a fat little 6'0"/5'11" cruiserweight, hes not going to be any bigger than Adamek, just a stone fatter, and he wont enjoy his usual speed advantage as much over Thomasz. Adamek could take him.
I wouldn't say Chambers is a much better boxer than Adamek. But I do think he will win. Good fight though.
I just don't rate Adamek as a HW. His jabbing and moving strategy may work against the likes of McBride and Grant but against the better fighters in the divison? Nah.
:scaredas: A productive fight between legitimate Heavyweight contenders, I honestly cannot remember the last time there was a fight between two top twenty Heavyweights that did not involve a Klitschko, we need to see more of this I hope Chambers turns up this time.
This fight takes away Chambers' best asset: speed. This fight is Adamek's to lose - Adamek UD written all over it.
I think Adamek takes a relatively clear and comfortable decision here. He's nothing special by any means at HW, but he ticks most boxes. If you listed all the necessary attributes and marked him out of ten, he'd be 6-7 in practically all of them, give or take a few points either way for power and fitness/dedication. He's always in shape, he's a pretty smart fighter that's aware of his limitations and works well within them, he's tough/brave, he's reasonably quick and deceptively hard to land clean on etc. Chambers on the other hand often comes in carrying 15-20lbs of excess flab, and doesn't always maintain a good workrate either, which would be important against Adamek. For me it's Adamek's fight to lose, outside of the Klitschko's he's a stern proposition I feel.... he's just better than Chambers and will win a clear decision.
I thought the way Nagy got to Adamek was pretty worrying but Kathy Duva is doing a great job with this NBC deal
Yes, good to see Eddie back again! Am I right in thinking he hasn't fought since Wlad?! Adamek will put up a good fight as always (Chambers wings be quite as quick here) but I see Chambers being too skilled and winning on points.
Agree with all of this, except Chambers has looked in better nick in his last few fights. Two Heavys here that could easily weigh in the 200-210 mark.
