    Me thinks so.

I liked the Adamek/Arreola matchup, and would enjoy a Chambers/Arreola one as well.

I get a kick out of "better boxer vs better puncher" match-ups you could say.

In other words, I feel the boxer vs the puncher (assuming they both have the will to win) tends to put the human spirit more vividly on display than other match ups for the most part.

After the Dimitrenko fight I was really excited about Chambers, but I wasnt all that impressed by his last fight against Rossy... I hope Wlad didnt completely knock the stuffing out of him. The THompson fight will be closer than most people think... TOny aint done yet and Chambers performances are always very much centred around his weight. Chambers is going to have to back Thompson up early or he is in for a long night... i get the feeling the Tiger might just pull one good last performance out.

It begs the question, who did better against Wlad? Both got hammered in to submission but I feel Thompson had the better moments than Chambers

I think Chambers. I've only seen a few fights from each guy, but the last time I saw Thomson, his punches seemed very slow, and very wide.

Tough one, Thompson has that size for him and that southpaw stance. He doesn´t look all that spectacular and impressive, but he keeps winning. Really not an easy task. He´s not able to fight tall the Klitschko´s way though and that´s what makes me somewhat confident that Chambers can beat him. Imo Chambers does stand a good chance o f winning against anyone not named Klitschko.

I lean toward Chambers on age, but he's showed in the past a reluctance to let his hands go. If Thompson makes himself very active I see nothing to stop him outworking Fast Eddie. For me neither holds the advantage in style

Chambers will outbox Thompson with ease.

Thompson is the most overrated heavyweight in current division.

    Fast Eddie by comfortable decision.

Too fast, too slick, too smart.

Chambers should win this. Tony is getting too old for this game.

If Thompson loses they should make Thompson - Barrett. Should be a good fight.

Good match up between two top 10(top 5 in Chambers case) heavyweights, but I'm not sure its going to be anything great from an action stand point. I'd take Chambers in this fight, he's going to be too quick for Thompson and I'd agree with people saying Thompson is slowing down at this point. Thompson is solid, awkward, and knows how to use his size so he's a live underdog here but I'd take Chambers by a comfortable but competitive decision.

Age isn't a huge factor. Thompson has aged gracefully even for a heavyweight, and is still about as effective within his style as he ever was. The sport has not been a physically taxing rigor for him with his style and he hasn't really copped any real beatings other than from Wladimir(and even then, he came away with less damage than many other challengers).

My inclinatiom is that his somewhat subpar showings against Marinaccio and Harris (he looked fine against WTH) are more the product of "fighting down to opposition's level" than "time catching up with him". Let's face it, Tony doesn't exude much in the way of what you'd call fiery passion in his fighting temperament as it is. While he is doubtless motivated to keep winning and get one more chance at winning the Big One (and he WILL come in trying to win...he isn't just looking to cash out IMO), there may just not be any incentive for him to put a max effort against guys like Marinaccio and Harris - both easily disposable with half-assed effort.

Against Chambers (and then Klitschko in the rematch if he makes it) expect MAX effort - maybe career-best. If he beats Chambers but then takes a tuneup (to accommodate the champ's schedule) against someone like Mollo - expect another half-assed perfunctory slack-job.

For those saying he's looked slower lately - impossible! He's always been in super slo-mo in the hand speed category. The beautiful thing about his style is that he's able to be effective in SPITE of that with placement and timing. :good
