I am happy with either, although you may be right - Eddie just has more seemingly inscalable physical obstacles to overcome.

I want to agree here, simply for the fact that Thompson has less natural obstacles to overcome when fighting Wlad than when Chambers does.

But Chambers has proven he can comfortably fight much naturally larger men. It's Wlad's boxing ability, and power, mixed with natural advantages that make him near impossible for fighters like Chambers or Thompson to be mildly competitive with, let alone defeat.

If either man wins decsisively (preferably with a tko/ko however unlikely), that will make a Klitschko rematch more interesting to some, than if we see a verdict like Thompson SD12 Chambers or something.

I must have watched a different Wlad v Thomson fight, because I didn't see a great fight at all.

I saw Thomson land a couple early - particularly a good left to the body - and then really stand there with his ear muffs on, while Wlad pitty patted him for ever, until he finally decided to throw some decent punches.

Thomson offered no threat I saw after the first couple of rounds, and was doing nothing at all in there. even his corner were telling him that.

Not that I disagree with you too much, but remember, Wlad tends to make other fighters look especially terrible.

:good I think Eddie's speed is going to make this one wide. Eddie is a real good fighter.

Yea, his speed and youth, mixed with the fact he has proven to be effective against taller fighters has me comfortable saying he's a fairly sure pick barring a semi-upset ko in Thompson's favor.

I think Eddie is just too fast for Tony at this stage. And I'm not so sure that Thompson even has the edge in experience, given that they both have a comparable number of fights and Chambers has actually beaten the slightly better opposition. Size is really the only advantage that Thompson has, and considering that Eddie has already proven himself against bigger guys, I don't know how much of an edge it gives him. I think the real question that needs to be answered is " how badly did Chamber's KO loss to Wlad hurt him?"

I rewatched Tony fighting Krasniqi and Wlad and this guy has skills and a chin, the thing is that he is so slow and gives no angles to his southpaw stance that Eddie will most hardly lose this one, I'm afraid.
