Chambers is a cruser but why shouldnt a cruser fight at HW anyway?

And people say that Haye isn't a natural Heavy?

Did Chambers weigh in at 205lb or 209lb? He still looks a little fleshy, but at least I can now take him half seriously though.

I would have thought after his loss to Povetkin that he'd realise he can't cut it at this weight. Chris Byrd reigned in an era where a small skillful opponent could do the business, the problem is that this era is far better than the tail end of Holyfield, Tyson and Lewis era.

Byrd wouldn't have a chance in this new era. Until there comes an American HW who can match not only the size, but the athleticism of these fighters coming out from Euro, you're not going to see the difference.

No American fighter in history in my view would have had a shot against the Klitschko brothers.

Chmbers is the new Chris Byrd. He has little power but can box very well. He my get a title but the big boys will crush him.

I like Chambers. IMO he needs to drop 8 lbs and fight in the lighter divisions.

I don't see much issue with coming in at 208. Why bother fighting at weights above what is your ideal?

    208 looks great on him.

The commotion over it is because everyone(although there were a fair few before) now realises Eddie Chambers is actually a Cruiserweight in Heavyweight clothing.

He's just trying the old Chris Byrd trick of being the smaller quicker more skillful guy in a poor division. The only problem as some have said is it's not quite as poor as when Byrd was champ.

He'll still probably earn more as a Heavyweight than he would as a Cruiser but if he loses tonight I think he should move down.

Well, I disagree with this to an extent. I think in certain ways it is worse than when Byrd was champ.

But Chambers can certainly use speed to his advantage...after all...how many guys out there are going to be able to catch him?

And maybe there is a good reason he's fighting at HW...if Chambers power isn't drastically more effective at cruiserweight, it makes some sense for him to fight at HW, where his fast hands are a much greater advantage than at cruiser. If he can handle the HW punch, why not?

It seems that Chambers is in a better shape. I guess it will improve his stamina. He was doing well against Povetkin in the first half of the fight. Later on he faded.

I agree that he is a natural cruserweight. He would make 200 limit without any problems but the money is at +200. You cannot blame him for this.

Like most povetkin's opponents...not a lot of people can keep up with his workrate..
