Is this guy just a missing brother of Chris Byrd and is he destined for the same fate?

I hope he never steps in there with Wlad...it will get very ugly very quickly.

Chris Byrd was ten times the fighter than Chambers is.
Maybe Chambers is like Byrd's ******ed inbred 4th cousin.

Chambers needs to lose that f*cking 25 pound basket of fat he carries under his f*cking chest and fight at Cruiserweight. Damnitt it pisses me off to see a guy thats considered one of the fastest guys in the division and one of the smallest to have a f*cking 38 inch wait. He shoulda had Peter TKO'd by the 7th or 8th round but no, under aggressive fat *****. I like Eddie and he has potential but apperantly running 5 - 6 miles a day isnt enough for you cause you look like ****.

Chris has always been a gym-rat and has always come into the ring in good shape. Also, though he has no power, Byrd would often throw plenty of punches and even hurt his opponent via accumulation (including TUA).

Chambers is the soup-kitchen version of Chris Byrd. It's to Byrd's credit that Chambers is, despite this, a very good boxer.

I pretty much wrote Chambers off when he lost to Povetkin. Last night I kept thinking "This fat **** is a cruiserweight." At 200 lbs he would probably be really fast and really agile -- throw 60 punches per round, and just generally be a much better fighter.

Its probably not his cardio work, its his eating that keeps him fat as mud.

I agree, given that he has no power, he needs to lose the 25 pounds of fat and fight at cruiser. He's not a heavyweight, per say. Although he is over the weight limit for Cruiser, someone that fat is merely a pseudo-heavyweight.

Chambers is a very skilled guy with a good punch variety. Good jab. His right hand is fast and straight but not heavy. Good left hook to the body too. He's durable. Solid defense.

Minuses would be size. He lacks a consistent workrate. Doesn't have heavy hands.

I think chambers is a guy who could win a title against a weak beltholder but he'll never be higher than #4 or 5 in the division.

The Klits would beatdown eddie. I think Povetkin's workrate is just too much for him.
Chagaev-Chambers would be interesting and that's a fight he could win...However, I would really like to see him take on Arreola next (if he beates mccline). I see Chambers clowning Arreola.

    A very crappy Cley-Bey.

Cley-Bey had some power and would put better combos together. Chambers only knows how to throw straight punches. He has no hook or uppercut.

Chambers could beat Haye; outbox him and stay away from Haye's power shots early on. He easily avoided Peter's shots and Eddie has a very good chin. Haye would gas out by late rounds and Eddie would hurt him to the body and eventually catch Haye on the chin for a late K.O. Eddie should not fight as a cruiser. He can win against anybody at heavy not named Klitschko and can earn way more money at heavy. He could also rematch Povetkin to try for revenge. Eddie was a live dog in their first encounter.

Chambers has skills he just gets lazy in the ring and he has 20 pounds of fat around his waist. I would like to see Chambers come into a fight at 210-213 and use his skills, speed, etc. I think he could do pretty well.

Exactly, then maybe he will face a 40 year old Chris Byrd one day for the Cruiserweight titles lol.

Are you comparing Sam Peter to David Haye?

They are nothing alike, Haye is much faster and better technically.
