More worrying is how on earth can any judge give Joshua the first round? Must have judged this on the ring entrance
Usyk looked to be slowing down and I thought Joshua might be finding his feet. Then the championship rounds were brutal for AJ, Usyk’s engine is unreal and could be the difference between him and all the other heavyweights.
In reality Joshua, if he was the true legendary boxer Eddie makes him out to be, should have beaten a cruiser weight no matter how good he is technically. Facts are AJ is good but not legendary. If Fury beats Wilder and Usyk after then hats off to Fury he will then write his legacy as one of the best. AJ however, no matter how many haters there are out there tranformed boxing in the UK and got the broadcasters back along with the money for all the other pros at every level so British Boxing owes him some respect and gratitude for that,
I think like a lot of people, I was fully expecting the robbery as the scores were being announced. Shouldn't be a worry if the do the rematch though as I reckon Usyk stops him.
Mind boggling, it was a cagey round, but Usyk clearly landes about half dozen jabs and I think AJ land once.
That's on par with saying if Mike Tyson is a top 15 ATG HW he should of beaten the CW Hollyfield no matter what. Totally disagree, with that logic. Usyk is the most talented boxer at HW since Lewis.
Howard Foster having Joshua 4-2 up after 6 is a joke. I’ve rewatched this morning and scored it 9-3 Usyk.
I wasn’t expecting a robbery but thought the draw was going to be given. the right result in the end. Looking forward to the rematch
Usyk goes into the Lions Den fighting away from home, no trash talk, respectful of all opponents, amazing boxing IQ/skills and the ultimate professional. Up and coming fighters should attempt to live the life and model themselves on Usyk.
Hearn will flog that Joshua horse until AJ has no brain cells left. Not only was he completely outboxed, Usyk was actually the puncher in there too. Throwing a guy who was outclassed, wobbled repeatedly and then saved by the bell straight back in with the same opponent is pretty cruel to be honest. If there are people around Joshua who care about him more than they do a pound note they'll be advising him to retire. Eddie really is a chip off the old Barry ''Slave Trader'' block.
I haven't seen the individual judging of the rounds but off the top of my head I think I scored it something like this... 10-9 Usyk 10-9 AJ 10-9 Usyk 10-9 Usyk 10-9 AJ 10-9 AJ 10-9 Usyk 10-9 AJ 10-9 Usyk 10-9 Usyk 10-9 Usyk 10-9 Usyk I could be remembering it wrong. I watched it in a hotel bar with a couple of strangers. I remember saying after a couple of the middle rounds that I felt that Usyk was almost purposely allowing Joshua back into the fight with the longterm goal of getting him to burn more gas and open up. A bit like Canelo with Saunders. If that's Foster's card then I honestly can't blame foreign fighters for avoiding fighting on these shores (I know it's similar in other countries). We don't deserve these events if we're going to score them stupidly like that.
Exactly the same as me but I gave Usyk the 2nd. Usyk started fast to give himself a lead knowing Joshua would have to then chase it and tire. Usyk finished like a machine.
