Thanks for posting...this is interesting. A slight raise of the eyebrow on 'most ability' with Arguello getting the nod. And I figured Burley would get the 'slickest'...and Pep was fast, but it strikes me as an intuitive speed. Which would work just fine!

great list, thanks for posting. Much like dpw, i was a little surprised at the most ability but love the funniest winner!

FINALLY glad to see someone saw that graziano is overrated to. Hall of famer, great puncher but really overrated

Agreed on Graziano. Most ability with Arguello is a bit interesting.

Probably has to do with his hand-speed. Speed kills, and Arguello wasn't particularly quick.

I've been saying it forever, there is nothing between the power of Foreman and Liston.

holmes i believe had futch and another well known trainer in his corner for his fight with holyfield

during rounds he said something to the effect of "get these old ****ers out of my face, i know what i'm doing"

Interesting that he gave arguello the most ability nod, especially since you see a lot of people, even here bagging on him for his speed.

Holmes had Futch and Arcel in his corner for his title fights when he was the champ. Later on he had Rich Giachetti (again), a friend of his (who learned was always in the gym with Larry when he was champ), and his brothers Jake and Floyd.

Giachetti was no admirer of Ray Arcel.

Holmes wasn't big on trainers which explains why Futch rated him as the toughest to train. Larry more or less saw them as people to give you water, keep your swelling/cuts under control and to get you/keep you sharp. He ran the training, not the trainer.

Arguello is a great textbook puncher, lazer accurate & KO power but I cant imagine any list on ability that has Alexis above Pep or Robinson.
