Sometimes. Gregory brought the fight to Franklin around the time this is proposed. I wouldn't go as far as to say he was recklessly swarming or anything, but he did press the action and leaped before looking right into a flattener.
Yes, I did,,,,,,,,,,,,,Never really an exciting fighter, but technically excellent. vs. Joe Cokes,,,,,,,jab, then move in close, wait for Referee to break apart.............over and over.
Conteh is actually really good to watch, keeps that jab out all the time, keeps his opponent busy, a bit like Napoles in that regard. He uses his own jab to draw a lead then counters off it.
I'd favour Conteh. Even with bad hands he'd pump that jab as well as anyone, good upper body movement too. Best performance I saw from Mustafa he failed to take the initiative (Galindez) and I feel Conteh could break him out of any rhythm he might build as the fight goes on. 9-6 Conteh
Agreed. Superior footwork to Eddie and he'd turn him and pepper away. Box and not wait for a receipt. With these guys ability to absorb, a decision bout all the way since neither is going to land a ton of the big punches it'd take to stop the other. I just think the footwork and mobility of Conteh pretty much turns this into another one of those "if only EM had" efforts we got.
Conteh takes Mustafa Muhammad in a very close, 8-7, or 8-6-1 type fight.I could see prime Conteh actually flooring Muhammad a couple of times, sealing the deal.
Sorry,I quoted a PEAK Conteh, which was off thread, but even the Conteh of the first Saad Muhammad fight would have had enough to beat Eddie. Albeit by a slim margin.
If he couldn't beat Saad Muhammad I really don't think he's faring any better (if even as good) against an on-form Mustafa Muhammad, who was just as big a puncher and an even more skilled boxer.
