Thereby undermining himself. Poor Eddie: he doesn't know whether he's coming or going these days. And if that wasn't bad enough, if Benn does end up fighting Brook, Hearn will be hyping it up by saying something to the effect of "This is the best ever version of Kell Brook". You simply couldn't make it up.
Monopoly is bad. Competition is healthy and good because then the promoters are on their toes. Boxing fans benefit in the end.
Have you never bought a PPV boxing match then? Not even Naz/Kelly back in 1997 who was proper box office?
never forget , hearns first ppv ... khan vs mcloskey , the shoe is now well and truly on the other foot for edward , frank was once on an obscure new channel only available via uk sat , eddie had the full sky backing with advertising everywhere the usual skysp news , soccer am etc , now fw is on a giant channel in bt , sky have gone with boxxer and appear to be backing boxing hard , and now all of a sudden hes in a worse position than frank , as hes now on an obscure subcription only service via an app , not on a designated channel via a set top box , has no sky marketing and most people i know over 30 didnt even know benns last fight was on ! the games changed alright LOL
Never mate and never will. If I was a non subscriber to Sky Sports then I would have no problem paying a PPV. Just think it is wrong charging existing subscribers more when the beneficiaries are wiping their arris with £100 notes for the rest of their lives.
frank and bob are both bitter as well and it might because hearn does more interviews but to me. He is the most bitter promoter in boxing, always sly digs about every fight. He even said ggg vs canelo was a trade fight, manny being on steroids.
Show me where he called Canelo v GGG a trade fight . Eddie is a manipulative twat and his followers eat it up, but i would be shocked if even he said that.
i used to love these ppv's, it was a great bone of contention in our house at the time. My brother and I would harass our father to get it in early, to avail of the cheaper price. But my dad would relent. He usually held out until 6pm on Saturday night then he'd have us ring the "Sky people in Scotland" Then queue the rest of the family, aunts, uncles grandparents would rock up to watch Naz. Good times And Naz was pure box office, Eubank to, to be fair sorry for going off thread. Back on topic. Id be shocked if Barry wasnt at the wee lad to see how they can get back in the game, because no denying their bib is dirtied within the UK television ranks these days.
Eddie Hearn has become the very thing he accuses others of being, a bitter man. He says Brook-Khan are finished yet wheels Chisora out to be the main event time after time ♂️ Had a quick look at his Twitter to see if he’s mentioned the fight but all he’s done is retweeted something about Ebanie Bridges doing SAS training ♂️
Hearn thought he could create boxing's version of the UFC. Instead, he's ended up full Cage Warriors.
