Actually the big money is and always will be Las Vegas for the big fights, that's why Hearn is trying to organise fights for Joshua over there next year despite the big crowds Joshua has been drawing over there.

 

Is Canelo a worldwide star? I know he's very big in North America where we have a lot of Mexicans and Mexican-Americans. But do they give a **** about him in Germany and Japan? The last worldwide boxing star was Mike Tyson. Floyd flew to England and nobody knew him there at the height of his popularity. Guys who only fight in one market ie Vegas or New York are only popular in one market. Tyson and Ali could fly around the world, have a fight in Japan or Africa and everyone would watch. There are maybe five boxers who were internationally famous in history Tyson, Ali, Louis, Dempsey, and Johnson.

 

It needs someone marketable. Wilder is not marketable to the general public.
