Yeah, if they sold certain football matches on PPV, would they try to say:

    "it's not a football channel" ??

It's not a boxing channel, but it's a multi-sports channel where boxing is one of the sports included.

I think the fuss is more over people being asked to pay twice for something.

A pizza may only be £15, but I'm pretty sure people would put up a fuss if they had to pay twice for it before the delivery guy handed it over...

And then there is Eddie Hearn saying previously that he wasn't going to milk PPV, and now it does kind of look like he is milking the fans not to put on a genuinely "stacked" card, (I don't think you would have seen half the moaning if he really was putting on a stacked card) but just to get his fighters out for a payday.

I think the big problem is that this fight was suppose to be on a special K undercard to become PPV. So basically this undercard fight is now a ppv fight? Which is quite stupid.

Exactly. It's the worst right side of a bill there's been for yolks. Hull had a better right side and that's saying something.

The only people who should be complaining are those who already pay for Sky Sports, and if that is what you mean I'm in full agreement.

I ditched Sky Sports on principle a year ago as they insist on rotating events on Sports 1,2,3,4,5 etc.... forcing what ought to be a small spend into something more significant each month. I don't understand what stops Sky Sports subscribers seeing this card for free, with PPV for all others (like me).

It was the saturday packages - either £40 the season for 20 odd games or £6 a game, but when other companies were able to get a package they seemed to get that one

In their defence they never put something like liverpool v man United on it, think they did have the merseyside derby on it a few times tho

You moan about the lesser man making a buck.. then you moan the 2 fighters are lesser men.

    Boxnation is the more expensive..

Coz.. it doesn't cover SBO by oxymoron no matter how many international fights they show.

You can add as many fighters as you like, but if they only appeal to the same people you won't get any more sales. There's not a fighter on that undercard with the possible exceptions of Joshua and maybe Groves who will appeal to the casual sports fan. If Eddie's complaining about the cost of staging the event he could take three of those named fights off, replace them with lesser-known 50/50 matchups and still do the same numbers.

i think it all comes down to how big a fan you are of boxing in general , some fans are only interested in one or two fighters and would never even consider paying to watch them unless it was a top tier fight going for a world title , me on the other hand love boxing so will pay the money to see the full card .
