He said for "one" of the team, so I wouldnt think Froch v DeGale

Steven Smith or Ant Crolla more likely

Ricky didn't deserve a unification fight.

Imagine he somehow beat Abril (wouldn't have happened) would he have been the worst unified champion ever? Quite possibly.

My issue was always about who he had faced in order to be the WBO champion. Katsidis was past it, Moses wasn't truly world class and neither was Mitchell. After that run came Gonzalez, Beltran and then Crawford.

I think it's hard to argue Burns was a legitimate and deserving world champion.

I know some thing I've got a real issue with Ricky/Billy but that's simply not the case. I just felt demanding unification fights when he hadn't beaten anyone of real note was a bit much.

tbh mate i thought Katsidis and Mitchell were very very good scalps at that time , he could only beat who FW was putting infront of him all be it poor or not ricky performed well in them fights imo

Would agree he was impressive, but neither Katsidis or Mitchell were world class.

Katsidis is a good win but what has Mitchell ever done at world level other than get destroyed by Kats?

Thats a good shout. Not really big news, Smith's chances depend on how shot Arthur is, buts its not a huge fight either way.
